o_O:ROFLMAO: so what we have here is a classic failure to check a spellchecked document. I didn't lose my boat, I loaded it. And I scattered my gear all over. Is it too late in the day for more coffee?
After getting off the Nantahala River in Western NC, I saw another Maverick had parked next to me. After losing my boat and scaring my gear all around the place my new friend Aaron from Asheville walked up. It was good to meet a fellow Mav driver and boater!
I have to say, I love our T@B trailer. This was from our first camping trip last summer. We just got home from a trip in Western NC over the Blue Ridge Parkway with winding mountainous roads. It pulled like it wasn't even there. The tow package on the Maverick is remarkable in every way. Super...
I don't "feel" the trailer brakes engaging on our trailer, but I know they are working. (Stopping distance, lack of truck push, etc.) Maybe they are working but you just can't feel them. When the local shop tested the brakes, was the trailer attached?
I have a similar setup on my Mav and am also doing mainly rural driving in the Smoky Mountains. The Eco mode has made a big difference for my local driving, somewhere between 5-8 mpg. When in regular mode, the turbo stays spooled up more often which seems to reduce my gas milage. Hope that helps.
There are some great rivers in Wisconsin! I tend to paddle in the SE on the rivers you've mentioned but have made several trips over the years to paddle rivers in WI. Always great people, memories, and rivers to be found there.
Until the invention of these newfangled electronic parking brakes, I just used mine for e-brake turns on tight gravel roads or other silliness. I think I'll pass on trying that with an electronic e-brake.
Just under 2,000 pounds. But we tend to carry lots of toys usually. Plus, it has a 7-pin connector so you need the tow package. I think the hybrid trailer package only has 4-pin connectors.
That's the truth! Fortunately, a storm with gale force winds blew through to keep us cool in the late afternoon. It left a few trees across the roads here or there, but it was an adventure!
Thule makes some really nice racks. I already had the Yakima Overhaul racks in the basement, just waiting on the truck to arrive. I did have the chance to install them and love them on the Mav even though I haven't had the chance to load them up with toys yet. Hopefully action shots coming soon. :)
