you are correct! I was able to trace the correct wires from that harness. It's the yellow/purple and blue/red wire. You will have to lower your spare tire (if you have it) to access it. No more b filler tap.

I was able to check out my friends XLT tailgate. Looks like the part number is jb3b431f94ad. However, I'm not able to find much with a quick google search. Part number only shows up in oversea sellers.
Thanks. I feel the same way. This is important feature for me to have. Hopefully someone with XLT can help us out. I have a friend that recently picked up his XLT. Going to ask him if I can open up his tailgate and investigate.
I started doing some research and didn't really find anything yet. hopefully more info will come out soon as this is one of the last features I really wanted on my XL.
