It was confirmed to me this afternoon that the 25 maverick system does NOT look at the health of the battery before going into the battery saver mode. Note. Not talking about the "Deep Sleep" mode that causing the messages, just the battery saver mode that prevents the interior lights from...
I found this on Amazon and just popped it onto/into our 25 Lariat. I was looking for something that would form-fit the indent behind the screen. This fits perfectly and has a lip that goes over the top of the screen pretty much locking it in.
My plan is to add a metal mount or bracket to it...
The cleaner the better.
Are you also working on a replacement light switch with the foglamp symbol? What's the plan for the electrical installation? Plug and play wiring harness? Modifications via ForScan to enable factory fog light option?
I've installed this one from Husky. It has a raised edge that in theory will deflect some bugs / debris over the cab and may help a little with the fuel economy. In truth, it probably doesn't make much of a difference other than protecting the front edge of the hood.
I like it because it mounts...
I'm guessing not. Are you sure there's no squeeze lever (for manual application of trailer brakes) on the lower left side of the dash? You need to be able to manually apply then when needed (say to reduce a swaying trailer) AND you need to be able to adjust the amount of trailer braking applied...
It's interesting how the Escape does the EV mode compared to the Maverick though they share nearly identical drive trains (much larger battery in the Escape).
The PHEV Escape has 3 EV modes: and it remembers what mode you left it in and returns to it.
EV NOW runs the battery only until it's at...
Another diff between EREVs and PHEVS...
Another advantage of an EREV vs PHEV is the EREV's all electric drive train means that you've got the total available HP and torque all the time regardless of running in battery-only mode or ICE+generator mode. PHEVs, when running in the all-electric...
Bait and switch. Almost had a similar situation, had a deal over the phone, was about to drive 200 miles and had a bud taking a day off of work. I called the dealer at 6 pm the night before telling them we were heading out first thing in the am and could the car be ready for, pickup. I let him...
Near as I can tell, Ford has some kind of timer going based on the last time the car was started, or maybe just the last time a door was opened.
I have my 25 Lariat with the latest updates and the AGM battery on a trickle charger that shows it's topped off, but after a few days in the garage...
The first builds of the 25s did not have the tow assist. It was added when Job 2 builds started ( in feb iirc). The price also was bumped up a little when the job 2s started.
its the camera view that puts the side mirrors side by side on a split screen letting you see your trailer or what’s behind you when your rear window is blocked. It’s a nice feature.
Our 25 Lariat Hybrid with the latest updates and AGM battery has had this happen twice. I think it was not driven for about 5 days. Not a deep sleep, and no alarm or errors... just no dome light when the door was opened.
I don't know if it is based on time between starts or actual battery...
Congratulations!
With the lariat and the 4K towing you should have the trailer brake controller on the left side of the dash that works with 7-pin trailer connections. You also have the trick side/rear camera split screen view when your rear window is blocked by a heavy load or trailer
We...
A full charge won’t leave room for regen so the brakes will feel weird at fist. The battery is pretty small in the hybrid mav so even if you did you might only get 3-5 miles and regardless of charge, the engine will start once you pull more than about 80 amps. You would need a very very light...
I hated, hated HATED the shifter on my old company car (Nissan Rouge) - stupid hockey-puck design where putting it all the way forward (which after 50 years of muscle memory = park) put the f#&$ing car into REVERSE. I can't count how many times I accidently started to back up! Stupid, dangerous...
Btw price for warranty seems the same regardless of trim so loaded lariats seem to get the best deal. I also recommend considering the lighting rider. The headlights on the lariat are over $1000 and are only covered if you get the added rider.
coverage the same based on date of sale of the the truck, so if you buy it now you’ll probably pay less than 2-3 years for now. We purchased our 10/100/0 from granger the day we bought our truck. Warranty price has gone up since then.
Picked up a set of these… cheap and seem to help. Hang down and are easy to grab. … wife uses it to help her climb in.
Grab handles from amazon
these can help too. Open the door and pop it into the latch…
