I use a laser guide parking device similar to this. Mine is sound activated as opposed to motion (change in light).
I also have a tennis ball. My garage was built in the 30's. My test drive stopped at home to see how tight the fit was.

I'd like to know if a violent rear impact like this will deploy the airbags. It seems logical that such immediate blunt force would/should pop those windbags., no matter where on the truck impact takes place.
