If you think thats bad... My wives VW Atlas had a door harness recall.. Seems simple till you realize at the time of the recall the part was made in Ukraine and also the Ukraine war had just started 2 weeks before.. the door harness recall caused the front left and riget window to randomly roll...
Id agree, I was going to get a topper IF I didnt find a maverick with a tonneau(hard) and bed liner... luckily I did find one...One thing I had not even thought about was how much easier it was on Friday to go down to the gravel pit and have them load 700 lbs of some crusher run stone in back...
Looks great OP id thought about one but mine also came with the bed liner and the hard Ford cover so I will go with that for now.. if mine hadnt had that though id have probably gotten the topper you have looks great!
Yes and I dont think thats strong I actually hate it much more. And its not a safety feature its a abomination. Im one that wants my "options" to be able to be turned on not on by default sorry.. same with start stop..these should come in "off" and you can push the button to turn on if wanted...
Ive only had mine almost a month now its a 2023 XLT I really like it so far, it does have the backup cameras recall thing to be done... and I actually encountered that once. But so far so good over 3.5 weeks now.. I really like it and look forward this spring to finally having something with a...
I found this interesting there are a few things id change so far.. but I dont know if its worth it to buy forscan just to disable the start stop deal.. and a lot of the other stuff is Lariat only and having the XLT unless I find something so annoying I hate it I think I will probably pass even...
Only if said feature somehow led to the exact damage youre trying to claim as say warranty work. Say you unlock sign recognition and then 2 weeks later something in the drivetrain goes wonky and you take it in and they try to say hey they did this mod no warranty now... thats probably not the...
Thats a Ford thing then(and is good) becasue the others ive used you can of course turn it off but every time you turn your car off it defaults back to ACC as stock and yes you can turn it off again.. I just dont want it.. im glad Ford seemingly gives you that option.. there is NO option for it...
Oh they all suck I just hate the deal that if you're going along in traffic and you're having a discussion, talking with friends/family, listening to music or a pod cast that inevitably im going 65-70.. you're paying attention to the road.. You set your cruise at 72 (in a 70)your going along and...
Unfortunately even if you could "turn them off" they always unless you use something like the Fscan turn back on by default and I was saying thats unfortunate.
On most you can mine, being a XLT doesnt have it it just has standard old cruise control not adaptive..and not having the adaptive makes me very happy.. its kinda like the auto start stop..I believe the adaptive was a package for lariat models but others just had regular old cruise. On cars...
Im so happy mine doesnt have that cant stand it I considered standard old cruise control a "upgrade". I went from not having it to having it.... hated it for 5 years now dont have it all is well again.
Its all just opinion.. I think its fine BTW, Both are fine ..Im not a traditionalist nor am I a fan of just 1 car maker.. ZERO brand loyalty here at all. No one company has exactly what id like at all times.
And in 40 years of driving averaging getting a different vehicle about every 4ish...
True my Subaru you could lift them no hood contact my kids 22 Charger GT AWD and my wives VW Atlas both hit the hood edge if you try i believe I KNOW the Atlas does I thought my kids Charger may also... I know the Maverick is my Maverick i just looked picked it up used also has that spot where...
Well done, back ..oh around 20-25 years ago I used to upgrade all the systems I owned.. that was back when it was super easy and didnt rely on ripping door panels apart and all that..it was back when you could remove a screw or 2 to access say the A pillar then take that off pop out the speaker...
They are ok what I like:
1. They fill the wheel well gap more..Ive always been a 4x4 look guy ive never been the slammed lowered rider truck type guy.. i get thats a thing and the rubberband big tires lowering springs are a thing.. its just noy MY thing
2. What I dislike:
1. The rubberband tire...
Their Transmission shudder issue on colorados and Canyons is what made me go to the maverick in the first place... and I dont know if they ever even really made it a recall
Its a 23 I got it used and have had it about 2.5-3 weeks now I didnt let the fact it didnt have a hitch stop a good deal I figured id just add it later. I think to get one on the Subaru i had it was like $250-300 so figured same for this.. I will ask around and see but no reason it should be...
Packages always add value. That said its a trade off.. I pull less than 2000lbs(ive never even towed 1K maybe 400-600 tops) I never plan to tow more than 2K(im mid 50's and ive never towed more than 400-600 lbs..I have nothing new id tow, im not planning on getting anything new to tow.. a large...
