Thanks ,I get all that ,so people like you are waiting a year and a half and dealers will sell the same truck you ordered to quadruple their profit. Free market is great ,if I did that in my contracting business its called a rip off.

I would buy one ,but not with a 5k markup when i put a deposit down in good faith for an order i placed on the first hour of the window.

Exactly ,I am also mad at ford for giving dealers the right to do this. The dealers are acting as fords showroom.

Thank you, thats the way i understand it but it seems that others on this forum think I am wrong about allocations .

I was told by the dealer that every Maverick order they have they prioritized them a 12.

So time of order doesn't matter ? If Hybrid is the constraint why are 3 on the lot ?would people not wait for their rare hybrid? I'm hoping NoVaJimmy's theory is correct and it is people gaming the system but the cynic in me says they would have taken delivery and made the money themselves...

So would a person that does understand mind educating the poor guy that doesn't?

Thanks for the sarcastic reply . I am all for free market . I ordered a truck and put a deposit down. My order has no constraints,it is a 2023 model order and it was ordered the minute the order banks opened( supposedly). The 3 trucks on the lot are 2023 models , i could believe people would...

The ones they do have were allocations before delivery. There are lots of stock /inventory call it what you will . You dont think dealers had staff order trucks for them ? .

No ,I do not expect that but I don't agree that they use their allocation of 80 trucks for stock and leave all their customer orders out of their priority list , which I strongly suspect is what's happening.

It could affect me if they are using up all their allocation on stock vehicles thus not allowing my order to be built . Also keeping my $1000 deposit.

Oh ,I get it . In my business, I would look after my customer who may otherwise miss out on his order. I was a first hour order at this dealer on the 15th sept.

My dealer has 3 trucks on the lot 5k over MRSP --one of them includes 3 "constraint" items -2 are identical to my order except color.This is not right.
