You may have a slack problem length wise but you also have to take out slack right to left.
I have the same Truxedo Pro x15. When you push down to latch at tailgate there should be some restriction, not a lot, definitely not loose. But you also need to pull out cover sideways as you are pushing...
Had this deflector on shortly after receiving truck in December. 10,000 miles later windshield in perfect condition. No hood shake, thanks to simple fix. Could not be happier plus love the look on the truck.
RocBloks , they cover a large portion of the open area on drivers side. After driving down wet gravel road (in Dec.) then noticing mud come out of around drivers side taillight, I knew I didn't want to be throwing salt and snow up in there. RocBloks were the solution. I've also added a cubby on...
8800 + miles for me and no issues. Favorite vehicle I've even owned. For this most recent tank of gas- 250 miles so far and, averaging 53.5 MPG! May just reach 700 miles on this tank!!!!! Love this truck!
Can't really agree with that line of thinking. Sure there are people with problems not posting here, but reality says people with problems are more likely to say something than people with no problems.
I have had my Maverick Hybrid since late December. Almost 8000 miles on it and not one...
Just a little constructive criticism. Your brackets are on the wrong sides. The solid metal should be to the tailgate end of bed. I installed same extender, really like it. DIBL looks good!
FYI: the tail gate locks/unlocks the same as door locks do,
FYI, You may know this already, you can change the fob unlock settings so all doors including tailgate unlock with 1 push instead of 2.
I had the same thought, just listing all the different reports of fixes. So far I think your 1/2 heater hose idea makes the most sense. It would be firmer than the 1/2 soft rubber insulation mentioned above. From the picture you posted it looks good on.
Could you post what exact hose you bought?

I can't find the original post about the bumper stops, but it seemed like they said it was 100% fix.
Also Rodog800 , who used the kilmat said he tested at 75-85 mph and flutter was gone.
If it isn't worth investing any time or money to try to fix it to you - Don't.
