I found this statement on a dealer's Military & First Responders web page -
DAV, PVA, and Veteran's Advantage give you options. Veteran's Advantage, with their $35 membership, give you X-Plan pricing. My dealer won't support X-Plan pricing for the Maverick.
You can, as others mentioned here...
I would love to see them expand the program to support Combat Related or Service Connected disabled veterans as well. Since they use IDMe to verify your military connection then your medical status would have to be tracked in IDMe. That might violate some laws.
Their definition of a Veteran is the same as yours - someone who served. Their program isn't applicable to all Veterans, only those who meet specific conditions - which they do publish under their Military Appreciation Program. It is really geared toward Active Duty and Retirees.
I am pretty sure you will get your Alto Blue XLT Hybrid with Lux, ordered in June, before I get my Cactus Gray XLT AWD Ecoboost LUX CoPilot 360 ordered in January.
Mine might not show up until MY23!
As I understand it, they are a mid-size dealer offering, first, a 3% below invoice deal which then switched to a $3,000 below MSRP deal with the expectations to grow their allocations. I'm not sure if it's working out for them but I'm one of, I think, several hundred orders they've placed...
I've had the Bak G2 and Gator FX on previous trucks. I like the G2 better than the Gator. Their warranties aren't as great as their pricier brothers but both lasted the years, 7 and 8 respectively, until I sold the trucks.
YMMV...
@LeersMav , both are worth it if YOU want the convenience they provide.
I'm probably going to get the hood struts because I like the convenience of just lifting the hood and not having to fuss with the prop rod. Conversely, I'm not going to get the tailgate assist because I would prefer to have...
I have thought about getting this tailgate assist but I really don't want to lose that bottle opener/tie down point. If Ford could make one like the one I have on my F150 where it replaces the hinge point I would definitely get it.
I didn't think you could "change" dealers on an order. You could get it shipped or fly/have a buddy drive you down to CC to pick it up. I have heard some dealers will ship like that. Chapman (in PA) did for a while and discontinued that courtesy.
I got two and that's good. At least I know that both orders are confirmed.
One order was an XLT AWD, Lux, CoPilot from my local dealer ordered Jan 7..
The other was an XLT AWD from Granger ordered Jan 20.
I expect the Granger order to make it. Not sure about my local dealer order with all...
