Winnebago Travato on the RAM chassis with the Penstar V6. Replaced my Class C with the Travato in 2018. The Class C would have pulled it easily as we used to pull our Jeep Liberty 4x4 while the Travato is only rated at 3500 pounds. But the Travato gets us between 18-22MPG depending on where we...
Flat towable is a big deal if you own a MH. Hybrid offers that and if my MH could pull the weight I would consider keeping my Hybrid. Design is personal taste s if that's you cup of tea all is good...but Cost...sorry I could have bought an SE for similar cost as a Maverick at the time...
Bet it didn't have the carry load of a "real" truck though...as I rmember "real" truck owners dumping on both it and the El Camino as not real trucks..
You missed entirely on my point. When I said release to fast I was speaking to the information that is found on this site not the Maverick product being release too fast. I was also saying that some of the info on this site gets here faster than Ford would like it to since it isn't always...
You are entitled to your opinion but again let me correct you...the Santa Cruz was never marketed as a truck. It's an SAV. The Maverick was marketed as a small truck and it's not for reasons I mentioned before. In fact I remember the days when even my Datsun which was body on frame was not...
I still have the Maverick so I see no reason to leave since I like to keep up with any new issues or fixes that folks on this site seem to have In fact I would say most folks on ths site get more information about the Maverick than Ford releases to the public in a faster manner...and I also...
Not exactly....3" in bed length does not necessarily mean bigger bed when you consider that the SC has a "Brunk" similar to the Ridgeline. I found that the angle of the bed makes the backseat of the SC much more comfortable than the backseat of the Maverick and it's more upright position. So...
The Ranchero looked like a station wagon with a bed which is the comparison I was making. The reason I said car was because if you jump from the 60's to the 2020's the front end of vehicles have changed and are getting more in line with the SC. If you want to say station wagon versus SUV that is...
I would agree on your rationale on two of the three. If you want something that looks like a truck the Maverick hands down. If you want a Hybrid again the Maverick hands down. But cost unless you are going for a top of the line SC with every bell and whistle possible might cost more but if you...
Again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and you appear to be stuck o a vehicle bult 50-60 years ago. Designs have moved forward since then and I'll repeat streamline in the future was my qualifier when I posted my statement. Let me also correct you the grill on the SC is not chrome...more...
If MPG is your only priority than yes the Maverick Hybrid should serve you well...if you take other conditions into your decision making you would find the SC is IMHO a superior vehicle if you pick the right model.
I paid $30.5K on the SC SEL AWD and $24.5K on the XL Hybrid. With that said if you were to price a comparatively equipped Maverick you would need to buy the Turbo AWD at the XLT level and still add options to get a similarly equipped vehicle and even than the SC has some features the Maverick...
My SC doesn't look all scratched up on the inside like that Maverick does especially around the 12V outlet on the back of the console. My Maverick is being handled with kid gloves on the interior because of the cheap plastic being used. Obviously you looked at the top end model SC that has an...
Have you looked at todays automobiles? Do you remember the original Honda Ridgeline or the Chevy Avalanche design they both had those nasty old braces you spoke of. Let me add the Ranchero actually looked like a station wagon with a bed....hummm....SUV with a bed something else in common...
what part of "streamlined if it were built today" do you not get? The Ranchero was unibody and it looked like a car /station wagon with a truck bed and so does the SC...Maverick is a unibody as well but they made it look like it wasn't to make it look like a truck.
Not an issue at all we drove it home from South Carolina and had to go through the Smokey Mountains on the way home and had no issues with the power and we got 29.9MPG which included getting stuck in Knoxville in bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour. There is a break in period however if I...
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....the Maverick looks like almost every other truck out there the SC looks like a streamlined Ranchero would look like if built today...IMHO. After owning both we are sticking with the SC....
We have both. 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL AWD and a 2023 Ford Maverick XL Hybrid. We are selling the Maverick and keeping the SC. Sorry but too much uncertainty with the Maverick in whatever is going to be a problem next. Ford has no confidence with us that thier build will not have problems...
Heck I have a 23 XL Hybrid with hitch and co-pilot 360 along with OEM seat covers, OEM all weather mats and bed cubbie (driver side) in Carbonized grey and an option for Bronco Sport Badland wheels with TPMS and Nokian Outpost ATP tires band new never mounted with 52 miles on the Maverick that...
