  2. Sold...Maverick XL Hybrid

Still have the Cubby and wheels and tires. Just updated pricing after selling my Maverick which I actually never expected to get when I originally listed them along with a lot of other stuff that I've sold. The Cubby I have priced at $36 with extra OEM screws, the wheels with TPMS and Ford and...

Doesn't matter if he doesn't see it. It does matter that when someone calls me out as a liar that the other posters on this thread see who the real liar was or the one that had a comprehension issue. I never said I had issues with my Maverick only that there are issues with the Maverick garnered...
  5. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Do you have a comprehension issue? Is it that you feel like you are losing to state such mis-information regarding my posts? It has to be one or the other. By the way tell all the owners on this site that experienced what I posted that it didn't happen.
  6. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Nope I said my Maverick at the time was problem free the post I was referencing was in response to Hyundai dealers ripping folks off for servicing and I referenced my experience with Toyota dealers. I do know that all my regular maintenance service is free for three years as part of Hyndai's...
  7. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

I guess number and ratings based upon accepted Automobile evaluators don't count. Edmunds also rated the Santa Cruz over the Maverick and was particularly impressed with the SC's handling and quietness whereas the Maverick it felt wasn't. In fact it used a description as "wobbly" in comparison...
  8. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

I posted not only what I have read but what I experienced. This section is about competition to the Maverick , I've owned both so I see no need to not participate in a discussion on both vehicles and on both forums. Regarding problems with my Maverick I was fortunate. During that time however...

Trojan happens to reflect a college I support and Ol Hickory represents Andrew Jackson since I live in Tennessee so you are a hellva conspiracy theorist. As far as your with Ford comment...I've heard every issue and recall on the SC a hellva lot faster on the SC than the dealers and that goes...
  10. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Not had any issues on mine. Let me add after spending time on both the SC and Maverick forums I've read posts from Mavrick owners where Ford wouldn't cover bad applied and peeling paint, a badly mounted passenger seat, rattles in the windshields and cracked windshields , misaligned body panels...
  11. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Finally we got to the crux of your issues with the Santa Cruz... believe I pointed out a few times that it sometimes comes down to the eye of the beholder. Again unless you are speaking to the hybrid the MPG between the NA engine in the SC and the Ecoboost in the Maverick are really not enough...
  12. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

If I needed to justify my purchase I wouldn't have just sold my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. Ford has a reputation for not fixing known engine problems so be careful at what you point at...Ford historically has avoided major issues from the day of the Pinto to their Diesel engines to the red neck...
  13. Santa Cruz SEL Premium full review

If you have been around this site very long you might have considered a different source. Motor Bisquit is not highly thought of on this site. Let me add close to 10" in length difference in the frame does not mean they are identical. The fact that you can't swap out the grills even though they...
  14. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

My disagreement was with your statements that you posted as facts. I didn't argue about sales numbers. As far as the rest of your statements anyone with an open mind and actually did detailed homework might feel differently. Facts say different and if you had done your homework and done a...

Good thing you didn't buy a Hybrid or you would have had to park it outside to not burn down your house as well...and at one time you could worry about everytime you drove it the engine cutting off. Maybe even when you hit the brakes you were scared it wouldn't stop. There are a lot of horror...
  16. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Did you ever own a Ford Diesel....garbage and a much shorter warranty... how many times have you had to take your Hybrid in so far? Only a few haven't had one issue or another. Two recalls for fires from the engines, battery issues, brake issues, front seat issues, windshield issues, paint...
  17. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

I don't know where you shopped but if you really did a comparison for feature for feature you might find that your evaluation is incorrect. First as a fact my Santa Cruz SEL AWD was cheaper than a close match Maverick. To get close the XLT would need the 4k Tow package to tow and get the...

Old but interesting article....maybe it's changed but if it hasn't there are a lot more unibody trucks out there.. Why Your Car Is A Truck, Under Federal Law, And What Makes It One (greencarreports.com)
  19. Santa Cruz SEL Premium full review

Might want to dig a little deeper ( and note: the grills on both look similar but cannot be innerchanged with one another).... Payload and Towing Exterior Cargo Volume 36.4 cu ft -- Maximum Payload 1,281 lbs 1,521 lbs Maximum Towing Capacity 3,500 lbs 5,000 lbs Length...
  20. Went looking for a Santa Cruz

Know nothing about the SF ( Santa Fe) but I can compare both the SC (Santa Cruz) and Maverick since I've owned both and in my case the SC was much cheaper than a Maverick with close to the same equipment.
