I've had various deflectors on various vehicles over the years that mount with space off the hood and cover the fenders. While they didn't use the sticky tape method, they did tend to let a ton of stuff gather behind them include dirt, leaves, branches, mud, bugs, etc., so I had to take them...

Yeah, I left a little metal hood exposed under the leading edge of the protector so when opening the hood, the protector wouldn't take that lifting load. Certain that various Fast Lane techs at my Ford dealership would likely do so when I take it there for the future Ford points oil changes.

Thanks Ford points! Kinda surprised how hard it was to clean up the exposed prep agent necessary for the install, but a bit of elbow grease & spray detailer prevailed.

Surprisingly beautiful, subtle color. I was unsure about it too before going to buy my 2024Tremor, but in person, it's very nice. It works very well with the surrounding black accents.
