  1. Tested the 4K tow package by towing 25' pontoon boat

I've had the same experience with a 25 Hybrid, also 4k tow package. My boat and trailer weigh in at 3,700 lbs. Towed over a thousand miles last year... smooth as could be.
  2. Most of the time my hybrid works great, but….26.8 mpg is not good

Driving uphill at 73 mph wouldn't give much opportunity to charge the hybrid battery. How is your mileage in more "normal" city driving?
  3. Replacing my Rav4 hybrid with a Maverick hybrid - I'm not sure what to do

You're driving a vehicle with positive reviews and reliability reports, and thinking of switching to another vehicle with positive reviews and reliability reports. For the record, Consumer Reports predicts slightly better reliability for the Maverick hybrid than the RAV4 hybrid. Either of...
  4. 25/26 hybrids Parking Module software fix not coming over the air any time soon

Thank you, I was wondering why they just didn't do this over the air. OK, I still wonder. The cost of human time (my time and the dealers) seems to outweigh the cost of a big download. But this does at least explain the recall plan.
  5. Ford EV Truck & Low-Price Platform -- New Specs & Details

Sorry to see this devolve into an EV vs EV bad thing. Doesn't seem like a pitch on either side is going to change anyone's religion. Re the subject of the original post: I'm impressed by what Ford has presented. And it isn't about a distant future hope: 2028 isn't that far off. Love the...
  6. 2026 Lariat Hybrid issues purchased with 18 miles

Mine must have been built on a good day at the factory. 25 Lariat AWD Hybrid. Quiet (passengers comment on the quiet drive). Rattles would drive me bonkers. My Mav has none. She's quiet.
  7. I'm a new member from just moments ago. My concerns are related to the Maverick 12 volt battery issues.

I have a 2025 Hybrid Lariat. Zero issues. It tows well. Great mileage. Smooth & quiet.
  8. HV battery vents - are there any in the cabin of the Mav?

I believe Santa will be disappointed in you.
  9. Risk of poisoning with 12V Battery not vented properly

Bacon cheeseburgers and stray asteroids seem like a much larger risk.
  10. Oil Change

Do you hate your truck? You should only use the 0w-10 Titanium Synthetic., at 2,400 mile intervals. Techtron is for posers. Real men use SeaFoam.
  11. Is the Ford Maverick Lariat Worth $40k?

What other new vehicle one can acquire for $40k does was a Maverick Lariat Hybrid does? Gets 40 mpg. Tows 4000 lbs. Quiet (acoustic windshield). ACC cruise, 360 camera, CoPilot 360. Nice fake leather seats. I need to tow 3700 lbs (eliminating a bunch of small SUV's that tow 3500). I don't...
  12. A little concerened!

Oye. You will not be hit by an asteroid. You'll be fine. The Maverick will purr happy.
  13. What PSI air pressure are your tires?

Mine came from the dealer at 46 (dealer prep seems to have been a quick wash). Didn't notice till a week later. I had gotten used to the firm ride and 42 mpg. I learned from reading on this site that 46 psi means the dealer didn't check the tires after delivery. I now run them at 40...
  14. Acoustic Windshields?

I've had my 2025 Lariat Hybrid for just a month. I have driven both XL and XLT Mavericks. The Lariat is significantly quieter. The acoustic windshield is the most obvious difference. I've read there is further sound insulation with the Lariat trim, but I'm not certain what else is done. This...

"PHEV" stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. It is primarily charged by plugging it in, typically at home. If you don't plug it in, no problem, it runs as a hybrid.
  16. Electric Maverick Coming 2027 - says Autoline [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

A PHEV is simply a hybrid vehicle, with the added capability of going electric only for a while, typically about 30-40 miles. Most folks local driving would end up being electric only, saving $. When that initial EV range runs out, the vehicle is a hybrid, just fine for long trips.
