Try pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons for a few seconds, the lights should flash and it'll switch to driver priority unlock.

It's for the vacuum brake booster, Lariats with adaptive cruise control have an electronic brake booster and do not have that hose.

It happens every time you change it. I can't remember for sure but I think you run the AWD module initialization/relearn from central configuration. If you're using forscan to change it, look at the DTC and I'm pretty sure it tells you what to do to fix it.

The gear display can be turned on through tuning with an accessport. I have an explorer cluster in mine but I know the base and Lariat clusters can show the gear when manually shifting after adding paddle shifters, so they should be able to show the gear all the time.

I'll check tomorrow, I know I have normal, slippery, Eco, sport and sand. I'm pretty sure there's one between eco and sport but I can't remember what it is. I'll take some pictures of my settings in the cluster and abs module and send them to you. I've tried and tried to get that to work or...

Ted may not reply, I haven't seen anything from him in quite a while. But I have an explorer cluster in mine, I just copied the as built from my Lariat cluster and the traction control button worked. But my hill descent speed button stopped working and I haven't found a way to get it working...

If you have an accessport manual mode(SST) can be turned on in the TCM tuning. You can also have it set to always show your current gear. I'm not sure if they're still working on it but it will still shift on its own, it will hold a gear though if your just driving normal.

Is it the same if you press the buttons on the remote? If so, press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the inside of the driver's door for about 3 seconds, the lights should flash a couple times and it'll switch from driver's door unlock with remote to all doors.

You have to cut into the dash to fit that cluster. You can't tell it was cut once everything is put back together though.

I'll probably be putting it back up for sale soon. I can't find anyone to buy my Ranger downpipe so I guess I'm going to stick with the Ranger turbo.

As others said, you can use the B&O sub wiring, that's how I have mine. It looks like we're in the same town if you need a hand with it or want to see how I did mine.

If you have Forscan there might be a way. Go to the IPC module configuration and enable turn signal speed sensitive volume, if the option is there. I had to do it when I swapped clusters.
