@Darryl
So just to confirm regarding the SSM-53801
1) Make sure ford service center has the latest software update.
2) Make sure the vehicle is left running.
3) Test and fully charge the battery.
4) Reset the battery monitor.
5) Keep vehicle locked for 8 hours for BMS realarm
I suspect these...
That's very disappointing!!! I personally didn't have the SSM-53801 update yet despite a handful of deep sleep notifications in 3 months. I'm glad you started this thread despite the bad news. I hope others will report if they're still having issues. Maybe include year and trim as well as the...
I also got mine installed today and I agree, figuring out the L brackets was a pain... it took me a few attempts for the little one. Fred's Garage has a good YouTube video that helped me significantly. The install was a pain but that's not a knock on the product, that's the joy of working on...
That's very valuable advice, thank you! When I take mine in, I will make sure they have the latest software and leave the engine on. I appreciate your insight and for the update. Thank you very much!!!
That makes sense! I'm sure you have a lot more experience with cars then I do which is why I value and respect your opinions. I have no doubt you could teach me a lot. I'm in spring hope, about an hr north of Sanford. I like Sanford, dated a few women that lived there and even looked into buying...
Glad to hear that and I agree. If you ever have issues keep me posted and I might reevaluate things. I'll gladly do the same as it is a slight concern and something I'll keep my eye on. Being stuck on a trip, in the middle of nowhere and on the weekend with that motorcycle tire would be more of...
It was definitely a concern which I mentioned in my original post as well. It's hard to tell in the picture but the teeth aren't touching the tire, they fit in the tire groove. I'm not into off-roading and if I ever hit road debris, I would check under my vehicle regardless of my spare tire...
That depends if you have a hitch and or if you're willing to do some dental work on the teeth. I have a hitch and this is my original 225/65/r17 as the spare. I had to let out a few psi and snug it up tight. It barely fits with no teeth modifications.
No disrespect but that's what is recommended for a Model T. Cars and oils have changed a bit since the 60s. Again, I mean no disrespect and value your opinion!
My manual has information for both the hybrid and eco boost. Look on page 372, not 371. Your best bet is to always check under the hood. This is my dirty hybrid, she's being cleaned tomorrow. Gotta love NC pollen!
@Darryl I just wanted to thank you for all your advice and updates. Your knowledge and expertise is a valuable asset to the entire MTC community. I greatly appreciate you, thank you!
