I believe 99 is for a Dealer stock order, not a retail order. Dealer is not being straight with you.

You know that priority code 10-19 is mostly pointless. Its set by dealers, not Ford. My dealer put everyone in at 10, but some default to 19. Really doesn't matter unless others at your dealership have a lower number than yours. Brother-in-laws may get a lower number at the dealers. :)

Try putting a load of gravel or dirt in an SUV! I had a canopy on my 99 Ranger for 20 years, took it off by myself many times, but default position was "on the truck". Only way to keep things dry, haul four dogs around and even transport a llama.

I actually think the best look would be to have the canopy painted to match the black rim. Someone posted an idea for a canopy that was similar to the SIBL color and matched the black trim. Just my opinion, but painting the black trim to color match makes the truck look like a station wagon or...

The mid-rise for the Mav is important because of the low stance of the truck. I'm 6'-2" and don't want to bang my head on the back window.
