I had a Ranger XLT back in the 90s. Loved it for camping and such. Used it until I began having back problems and I couldn't drive a stick shift any more (and transmission and other issues after ~180k miles). Went to Honda for my last 2 vehicles due the need for high milage. Bought my first...
Does anyone know what or how many parts are made by UAW workers? I know the truck factory is not UAW, but are the parts to build a scheduled truck already being made or all this still "just in time manufacturing" and nothing is made until a few weeks before being needed?

How often do they release the schedule build dates? I am guessing not weekly since last week they announced build dates for 3 weeks.
This morning I got my 45 day "No news, but we are trying" update. Hoping it will be my 1 and only, but I'm not holding my breath...
Has anyone looked at or put on a Line-x Topper? I am curious how they compare to ARE or others. I don't even know if they make one for the Maverick. I plan to stop by the local store and talk with them later this week.

I stopped by my dealer today to ask about their stats. They said they had 3 carry overs and 1 truck so far in the pipe with a start date of 10/30 and he believes they have an allocation of 20. He estimated that there are 4-5 ahead of me so a fair estimate that I should see an order date sometime...
I agree. I had a 2009 Fit, traded it in for a 2020 after 329,000 miles. I love my new Fit, but I can't carry all the equipment I use for my hobby and have anyone else in the car, let alone bring someone else with me. The Maverick will fit that bill with the bed being large enough to carry my...
I agree. I began saving for my next vehicle after I paid off my current one 3 years ago. If my truck doesn't arrive until late May, I may be able to buy it outright between savings and my trade-in.
When I first went looking to test drive a Maverick back in January the local dealership had a '22 on the lot AWD Off road with 15K miles and they were asking $46K for it. I told them I will wait to order a new one at MSRP.
When I went back on July 17th they said the order books weren't open yet...
If you get this, please post pictures. My imaginary Maverick (ordered 7/17) is also the Hot Pepper Red and I am curious how the MX will look in the Red.
Alto blue was my preference, but then dropped  for MY24. So went with Hot Pepper Red for something different. Didn't want any shade of gray and the Atlas blue is a bit too bright blue for me.
I figure (just my 2 cents) that for a new hybrid order it is a 50-50 chance it gets built. Since we don't know how many hybrid orders will be done in the 23MY and how many carry overs will be left and built in the 24MY. Several other threads have been saying they are cranking out a lot of...
I used the link above and when you look at the Lariat edition, I come out ahead before I even drive the truck off the lot. Since the Lariat comes standard with AWD package for the 2.0L it costs $720 more than hybrid. Now will I ever see it made? That's the bigger question.
I'm not shying away from it. At $1,500 more, for me the improved gas mileage of the hybrid will pay for itself within ~3 years with the miles that I drive per year.
Also, since I was looking to add the options that are now standard for the Lariat, the overall increase wasn't that much and will...
I agree, when I first went to do a test drive for a 2023 Maverick, the dealer had a used 2022 XLT AWD EB with ~18K miles. They were asking a "discounted" $46K+ for it. I said thanks but no thanks and began looking into when the 2024 order books would open.
Went back to that dealer on Monday...
I got my order confirmation yesterday at 7:04 pm Eastern. Lariat, Hybrid Hot Pepper Red.
Wonder how many of the carry overs will be hybrids and eat into the 35% of the total production slated to be hybrids? That will have the largest effect on whether us new orders will see their truck made.
Went into my local Ford dealership yesterday at 9 am (actually 8:50, before they opened). Talked to a salesman at 9 am, told him what I wanted to do. He went and asked his boss (?) a question on putting in the order. He came back and told me the order bank wasn't open, but he would take my name...
