With a roll up tonneau cover all I needed was a mat to cushion my knees and keep things from sliding around. Maybe if my 23XL hybrid was a work truck I'd consider a liner. I'd recommend getting neither until you see how you'll use the truck. Pine straw and furniture is all I've ever hauled in 2...
Thought I might miss the power mirrors on my 2023 XL but now realize that I never adjust them. Bought a mat for the bed to keep things from sliding around and a tailgate cover plus wheel trim rings. Besides the lower price ( 23K out the door ) I don't have to live with the ugly orange trim of...
I was able to do it after clearing with the ok button after starting the engine in park. That's a lot more effort than turning on the switch and driving off under battery power. Defaulting to eco mode when switching on makes a lot more sense.
It may work for your XLT but it absolutely does not work for my XL. I wouldn't have a complaint if I could engage eco in park as I could do it before driving. Waiting until I've driven a few blocks means I often forget to change the mode because I'm focusing on other things. I wonder if there's...
No Sir, my 2023 hybrid will not engage eco mode in park. That makes some sense as while in park the truck is powered by the battery unless you hard press the accelerator to start the engine. I'm out of my subdivision and still driving on battery power before the engine kicks in. And the only way...
So I wish my hybrid had a black interior. The blue interior doesn't clash with my iconic silver hybrid like some other exterior colors but black and silver are a much better combination.
When I back out of my driveway my engine doesn't start as it's running on battery power. It would be a rare occasion for me to remember to set to eco mode in park. As many others agree Eco mode should be the default mode setting on the hybrid. .
Resetting to the eco mode requires my 2023 to be in motion. That should be a safety recall as it requires the driver to take his eyes off the road to cycle through the modes.
My son the engineer recently replaced leaking turbo coolant lines on his F-15 eco boost and I was shocked at the price of the parts. Can't imagine what the dealer would charge.
"In FWD cars, placing new tires on the rear provides better stability during acceleration and cornering. While this setup may feel counterintuitive, it reduces the likelihood of oversteering during braking on slippery surfaces, which prioritizes your passengers' safety."
Constant tire rotations mean you will have to replace all four tires at the same time. If you don't rotate tires on a FWD vehicle you only have to replace the two front tires at the same time. The back tires last a lot longer. You're better off buying a lifetime wheel alignment for the Maverick...
I spend little on my DIY oil changes. $7 at Amazon for the same Ford filter that dealers use plus $32 for 10 quarts of Kirklands synthetic at Costco on sale.
I do not trust dealer's or shops to change the life blood of my engine so I do it myself. Too many bad experiences with loose drain plugs and filters that I barely caught in time. I had one shop that over tightened the drain plug stripping the threads and then added their own over sized plug. I...
