Oh wow. I thought maybe it was further behind since not many program codes showed up. This would be welcome news. I honestly didn't expect it until at least February.
I got the notice in October that I was scheduled to go into production the week of Nov 18th. I haven't gotten an update since. When I logged into the order tracker today, it says "In Production." Also, it says it was last updated 11-7-24. So has it been in production since then? My build is an...
The stock tweeters are run off of their own channel on the B&O amp. In the non-B&O systems, they are not. I can't remember if the stock tweeters have a bass blocker on them, or the factory system already cuts the low frequencies from them. If you install your passive crossover, you will just be...
Center speaker in the B&O system is 8ohm. It, and your rear speakers run off the headunit, not the B&O amp. I think Darnon posted a tutorial about adding a resistor to a center speaker to make it work and not overtax the headunit by running too low of an ohm load to it. Most infinity speakers...
The T harness is basically an OEM fit harness splitter to tap into your speaker inputs. It feeds a high level input signal to an amplifier since you will not have RCA outputs to use on the factory radio. It does not run like an output from your amplifier to your speakers.
Have you decided on a...
A Plug n Play kit or the Pac T harness above should work to give you high level inputs to an amplifier. You might want to install your upgrade speakers first and see how they sound. The reason I suggest this, is it will be easier to decide if you are happy with the upgrade, or if you want to...
I kept seeing things about the Ford ones rubbing and I found some on Amazon that I think would normally rub in the same area but came with some PPF film in the box to install before the flaps.
That's what I was hoping for from the Optim8, but the mids on ch 7-8 were getting no power for me. I don't know if I truly had a faulty unit or what, but my 4in Morel coax in back on 50w were louder than the Hertz cento pro mids on "150 Watts" even though the centos are also 3db more efficient...
It sounds much better with the Audison f8.9 installed and tuned properly. I finally have good power to the 6.5 mids without a huge eq boost (as with the Optim8). The Audison installer opted not to use toslink with it because they said there were less options to adjust levels than with RCA...
