With the current Hybrid Engine Fire recall its strange it happened with an ecoboost and AFAIK zero Hybrids. Common sense would tell you do not drive a vehicle with the OPs issue but Ford does warn against it for those lacking common sense.

I am in the same boat, Dealer said You are good unless your vin gets the recall before delivery... then you are screwed. I hope they let them roll and fix later.

My hybrid is on route to the dealer now. They have said it's okay to deliver unless I get recalled between now and then (est. 7-10 days). Also told me to 🤞 and he hopes it's not recall jailed
