Installed my bug deflector ii a few days ago. I used my own Retainers (B196), which seems to work fine. The holes are aligned, it just needs a bit of force to align the holes. I love it, its not glued to the hood and looks good with Shadow Black. Seems sturdy, no hood shake yet.
I ordered one Wednesday, still waiting for shipping to arrive. Seeing the pics, I was hoping it had the thicker square rods and the yellow latches like the other Bison Covers. But, for the price, I can't complain.
Its possible they really didn't know until it showed up... But my guess is, they don't want customers to call in knowing vehicle has arrived at dealer.
I want one that mounts with fasteners and not stick on like the Aeroskins. I was thinking AVS Bugflector II Bug Deflector 25980. Hoping it doesnt shake the hood. Wasnt able to find reviews mounted on the Marvericks yet.
I've been asking for a VIN for awhile, kept saying it doesn't populate. Thinking I'll probably get a 2023 model... They called me last Tuesday, said it was in last week. I'm sure they purposely didn't tell me my order # or VIN #, so I can't keep track.
I was thinking of getting the Undercover Flex (It opens up completly without resting on the cab like the Backflip). Anyone know the difference between the original, ultra and the armor?
Lucky you have a VIN... I've asked my dealer for a VIN multiple times, he says its not populating. But he did say it was scheduled to be built Feb 27th. I thought once scheduled, you get your VIN. Anyone know?
Planning on getting a hard fold.. I really like the Undercover flex hard fold. When folded completly, it will tilt up and not touch your cab (unlike Bakflip, which rest on your cab) giving you max amount of bed space when needed.
I'm no mechanic... But when I google search glowing catalytic convert glowing red, (it causes the honeycomb material to melt which may cause damage to the engine.) It's not supposed to glow red. Dealers should at least test pressure to ensure there was no damage to the cat. Can a mechanic...
Pretty much.. Also get one of those outdoor outlet timers to start heating up 3-4 hours before your leave every morning, instead of leaving it plugged in all the time.
I'm planning to use the block heater until I'm absolutely positive this is fixed. Hopefully they will replace the Catalytic on those that were glowing red.
A lot more Yes, then I would have liked...
and I think there's alot more, they just dont know it yet:
The issue is, when its sub zero temp and you need to heatup your hybrid (letting it run idle 5-10 min to defrost windshield), does it start to idle weird, sulffer smell and glowing cat...
