The service rep wasn't sure yesterday when I asked him, but I was told at the time of the part order a few months ago, they're waiting on a new version of the heat exchanger assembly and could take awhile. I wonder if there's a way I can tell looking at it.

I went in for an oil change yesterday and they said they could change my heat exchanger / exhaust at the same time as the part was in. I no longer have the CEL and confirmed it's changed.

CEL means something needs attention. A blinking CEL means do not drive. It's safe to drive until you have the replacement part.

Besides the faulty EGR code, did you have any symptoms of a bad EGR? In colder areas, many of us are having the rough idle issue when the ICE is warming up, which is one of the symptoms of a bad EGR. I mentioned the EGR TSB it to my dealer, but they never replaced the EGR.

I haven't had any rough idle/shake since the quick fix.. And its still winter up here around -9C / 15F this morning. Maybe next winter, issue may re-appear..
