They call it a sub station. That box is the sub and Amp in one. Low profile to fit under the seat. They asked if I wanted it behind the back seat passenger side, but I have my kid's car seat there. All that had to be done is take off the air vent under the seat. Its hooked up to the stock stereo.

I think most people are being too delicate. Engine noise doesn't bother me at all. Road noise is not bad at all. 2.0 AWD, FX4. I did install a sub station with a 10 in DB drive sub that comes with the amp. 900 watts of sweet sound!
