Tommy Brogan posted this morning the fix for camera freezes is out. I called my dealer, and they are coming by at 10:00 am on 3/11/25 to update mine. One year to the day after I purchased it.
Be sure and check the 8 packs of hot wheels at Walmart. I picked up an 8 pack today that had the yellow Maverick and a black 55 chevy in it. The other 6 will be split between my granddaughter and the 3 y.o. boy my wife keeps during the week.
I got tracking #s on mine also. They tell you when it went to shipper and when it will sail. My ship was postponed by a week. Then nothing across the ocean (talk about a slow boat from China!) Then once it hits the states usually get 1 update a day. Good luck!
A few thoughts on this topper:
1. The rear window is darker than I would like.
2. Sliding windows are available, just not from the company I used.
3. The coating seems to be very thin. (like the Maverick paint!)
4.If I had to do it over again, I would, no doubt!
A word of advice: Check with...
I agree! I sample mine when I do an oil change. Let it run out into the pan for a little bit, then stick the sample bottle into the stream until it gets to the line. pull it out and cap bottle. Finish oil change as normal.
Actually, forgot to order the block heater when I ordered this truck. In a couple more months I am done up here and headed back home, where they have no clue what a block heater is!
The last time I had my oil analyzed (5000-mile interval) it came back showing 8% dilution. They suggested changing it at 2500 miles. I changed it at 2500 miles and am awaiting results. My truck idles about 15 minutes in the am and another 15 minutes in the pm, considering we were 10 to 15 below...
Tried to stick a magnet to a few different places on my topper today. It would not stick anywhere, including the tie down pieces on top. I assume (yes, I know what that means!) that it is all aluminum. The shipping weight was 155 lbs. Including cardboard and sheets in-between each piece. DO NOT...
You don't alter anything to use the start x. Unplug the cable from your ALDL. Start x send you a cable that plugs in where you disconnected the factory cable. It is very simple. The remote range is very short on mine. Maybe 25 feet. Waiting on the range extender to come back in stock.
Here is the pics I promised. From the box it was shipped in to putting it together and finally on the truck. I like it so far but will drive it for a week or so and give a better evaluation. If anyone has any questions or input feel free to respond.
