I purchased a Maverick a few weeks ago as it was “in transit” to a dealership a little . It’s still in transit with an 11/20 arrival date (which was already changed from 11/15).
(edit) update - delayed again. Now saying 11/29. Really, how difficult is it to track a vehicle being shipped...
The regen braking in our 2020 AWD Escape Hybrid is similar to hill descent control on a regular EcoBoost. Except it’s automatic. There is a green icon on dash illuminating when it sense you’re on a downgrade angle.
I never used the L mode, kinda pointless in my opinion I’m the hybrid but might...
I had a 2020 Escape Hybrid AWD. There is no “brake mode” and I have not come across anything to suggest anything similar in the Maverick to a brake mode. I want to say that is Prius’ way of increasing the regen. braking… which is not adjustable in these hybrids to my knowledge. However, our...
Sounds like they are putting in a dealer order. If they didn’t take your drivers license, which is required by Ford to my understanding, then I’d bet they ordered a stock vehicle with your specifications.
Cannot wait for an AWD Maverick Lightning that can go at least 350 miles and the average Joe & Jane can afford! That will be the NATOY hands down. I love the Maverick but I think Rivian has this one.
Yes required. Any new car regardless of trim... now you'll roll your eves when this is used a feature for selling points. Its like still claiming air conditioning is a feature... its pretty much expected.
Awaiting our HPR Mav… was thinking of white lettering and tires with white lettering side showing… I like the white accents on the new Broncos. While I do like it, the all-black trend is getting old, just my subjective opinion. Looking back on 70s trucks there was lots of white- 2-tone paints...
Thanks. Mainly, I was curious why a person couldn’t tow over 2,000 if most of the components were the same between the overlapping features of the packages. Seem to have gotten good answers here. We’ve had a F-150 for 17 years and while we’ve hauled plenty, we maybe have towed a handful of...
If you don’t have 4K package BUT DO HAVE FX4 - what’s preventing the Maverick from towing 4Klbs?
A brake controller & 7pin is easy to get… the only difference I see in the overlapping package benefits is not having the tranny cooler… does FX4 have different ratios versus the
Could you...
I would love to see more chargers at trailheads, wilderness parking lots, and places like that. That’s the primary reason we keep our F150, soon to be Maverick along side our Tesla. There’s a gas pump in nearly every remote Colorado town, not so much a charger… yet.
Yeah we have a Model Y as our primary. Also the old F150 I mentioned. Our EB Mav should be here any day… I’m super happy with our electric car and it saves a lot of money in the long run. But there are limitations still.
I have limited mechanical knowledge but does this mean I could convert our 2004 F150. It only has 72K orig miles. It’s condition is flawless. We don’t drive it much with the big V8 guzzler but it would make an awesome pre-lightening F150
I’ve driven our Tesla from NYC to Lincoln City, OR. Range and charging is really no issue at all, just have to change our mindsets and habits. It can be cumbersome at times but so can getting gas at near $4/g. I’m not trying to save the planet with our EV - we also have a V8 F150 galloping...
