  1. Jackie Robinson Day

Had to give a shout out to Jackie. Plus share a personal story not known by many. My father played basketball with the Illinois State U team just after WWII. He went on to play semi-pro for several years. Not many know, but when Jackie was at UCLA, he was on the basketball team. They had been...
  2. Pets!

Here's my brood. We lost mom dog, Aussie in back, left and center are sibs, papa on right. We've since gotten a new Aussie.
  3. No Insulation at Fender to engine!?

Another post here said that insurance won't replace OEM part with upgraded part. They wanted Lariat windshield, but couldn't get iton insurance, maybe if you're willing to pay out of pocket.
  4. Another Cyber Orange Mav in My Town!

Nice truck! How could anyone miss seeing you on the road? I lived in Eugene 79-83. Designed sets and lighting for ORT. OCF Elder 25 years+ I'd move back if I could get my wife to leave family in Seattle area.
  5. Help!

FordVideoGuy, in Salinas, mentioned that they had trucks stuck in Kansas City with no semi carriers to ship to their dealership and they aren't allowed to go get them. I suspect there is a delay in finding a transport out of Chicago.
  6. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

Hey Michael….Although I have a pretty basic build I feel your pain. I’m sure they are trying real hard to parse out all the orders, with filling all orders in a manner that would appear to be somewhat fair (post dealer allocation). As the old saying goes, Parts constraints are parts constraints...
  7. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

If I remove constrained items, then it will NOT be the truck I ordered. So, I was the OP of this original reply. Apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way, as I've gotten 45+ likes to it. As I've been thinking about this, I'm getting somewhat PO'd. Seems like Ford is trying to pawn...
  8. Delivery Bets

So I have a bet with my wife that they will find treasure on Oak Island before I get my Maverick!
  9. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

Nope. Got an email that someone in the neighborhood lost a cat, but apparently not Ford's cat.
  10. Should I use 'low' or 'hill descent' mode when descending mountain passes at speed (IE I70 Rocky Mountains)?

The playing cards in the spokes get louder when you slow down!
  11. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

Hey Micheal, what do you think the upcoming June communications will be about? Has your dealer reached out to you concerning your build? Probably the new constraints on the '23 Mavs and and new price increases, and asking how big my coffin will be if needed by the time I actually get a truck.
  12. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

I'm hanging in, but hope I shouldn't have added the bed extender so my wife could fit my casket in the new truck!:)
  13. What the Hail!

Wow! hope you had insurance, but what a bummer.
  14. New Ford email: Co-Pilot36 package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face strongest constraints

Highlighted in the communication is the fact that orders with the optional Co-Pilot360™ package, XLT Luxury package, and Lariat Luxury package face the strongest constraints. Customers are advised to engage with their Ford dealer to review their order specifications and potential options to...
  15. Ford: Maverick orders are now scheduled in the order they are received

Same here as well. I'll be 70 by time I get my truck. I figured as I get older, any help like CP360 would be great. I don't understand those that have dropped wanted options. I spent quite a while going through all the models and trims and decided what I wanted. Anything less would not be the...
  16. ⏱ Maverick Scheduling Next Week (4/11) For Production Build Weeks 5/30 and 6/6

At my dealership, they hadn't heard of MTC, I probably know way more about the Maverick than any of them. Read manuals of vehicles you are selling or have another cup of coffee. Such difficult choices.
  17. Welp, caved and sold my Ridgeline, let’s go Mav, please arrive soon!

I also sold my 99 Ranger, too soon, but i got more than twice what the dealer trade in was offering. I still have quite a wait for my Maverick, but I have my Hybrid Escape to drive until then. Got a buyer on tap for that if they can wait long enough. I was worried that the 99 would have some...
  18. Interior Dome Light - Modification/Replace

You are in NY. Go to a theatrical supply house, should be several in NY and get a sheet of gel. There will be about 50 shades of red to choose from with different opacity. Called Rosco gel. I would take clear packing tape, cover the light and use marker to color the tape. that will let you see...
  19. Where does Mav rank on the list of cars you’ve owned?

The Flying Karamazov Brothers, comedy jugglers for over 40 years. Highly recommend seeing their show. FKB.com They are very good jugglers, not the best I've known but they have the best "show". Very funny stuff, fun group to tour with. My last year on tour I was in 37 states and 6 weeks in Europe.
  20. TEST # 1: How long does the 12V power in the bed run after the key is pulled out

From the manual: Note: Your vehicle has a battery saver feature that shuts your vehicle off when it detects a certain amount of battery drain, or after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity in accessory mode. Also: When you switch the vehicle on, you can use the socket to power 12 V appliances...
