Absolutely not! Loving the 45 mpg, 1 oil change a year, and actually extra hybrid boost on the highway if i play it right! The real Question is: will people opt for the hybrid AWD coming in '25 over the FWD hybrid?
This is all correct. I did this recall and it just puts a warning sign on the dash to alert driver of potential shutdown. I was told by my dealer that 1% of the hybrids out there from '22-23 that are effected-meaning about a 1,110. But they don't know and it would require a new engine block...
Thanks for this tip! I seem to be playing pulse and go a lot on the highway. And downhill, easing off the gas pedal for as long as I can without cars ramming me from behind. LOL.
I guess. Good thing it also confirmed how to hook up the jumper cables to a hybrid maverick. I had Youtube'd it so i knew but was good to see in action. They use a special one that has a safety surfer on the end. Funky.
After too many visits to the dealers for recall software updates, I had Ford send a mobile unit. He is doing the 2 latest updates right now. If all goes well, this should conclude all of the recalls. The "fire under the hood" one is a cheap fix for ford so will see if there is another one later...
Got the same letter yesterday. Problem is is that it is a physical problem with the engine block-it was mis-tooled. The software update is only to put a warning signal onto the dash to warn you of trouble. Then you need to pull over, etc. The NHSA just ruled that Ford's fix of the Bronco Sport...
OMG-That is so true!!!!!!! We do that also-park in the farthest spot out and sure enough someone always parks right next to us. and it's always so big ass truck. Why???????
I know some people on MTC have said they would never put an assist piston or tailgate assist(I'm not sure of the official Name) on their tailgate, but I have to say it's one of the best $50 I spent! Available on Ford's part site and easy to install. It just makes it easier to open and load stuff...
I'm not surprised! I have read several articles basically stating the same thing. It also has one of the lowest cost to own which I'm sure contributes to the overall score. Great truck. If Ford can get the recalls under control, I would definitely buy another one. And bring the AWD Hybrid over...
I've been following MTC for over a year and now I'm finally signed up. We have officailly owned our '22 XLT for 1 year now (bought it used). And have loved reading everyone's journey with this great truck. I am amazed at the mileage, rare oil changes and versatility of this truck. Yes, we...
