  1. Replaced my windshield 3.5 times already. Bad luck or Bad Design/Engineering?

My first 6 months did not have it, but progressive just added $0 glass, but I had to bump my deductible to $500 from $250. I dumped Geico for progressive. Last 6 month premium with Progressive was $587 with the new glass option.
  2. Anyone added a second hybrid battery?

Hit 60mph , ease off the accelerator, then lightly press after hitting regen. If you are on a flat area it will go a decent ways like this. Easier to get this if you are on even the smallest downward slope before it flattens out. Use the EV Coach on the Dash, you will get the hang of it.
  3. Headliner, antenna, dome light removal

interesting in how that works out. I have the headliner poking out from the seals near both a frame posts, and am hesitant to ask for the TSB repair because they will inevitably scratch something up. TSB calls for total headliner replacement. If adding a little of that plastic edging keeps it...
  4. How many Mavericks have you owned?

    2. First because I was unsure my order(s) would ever show up. 1 didn’t, other took 356 days, I traded in the XL AWD for my Hybrid as that was ultimately what I wanted.
  5. Sync3 upadate Lariat lux

try a hard reset of the stereo, that fixed a similar issue for me. I think it’s holding power button plus fast forward/seek for ~5 seconds
  6. With hybrids and EVs, will "passing down"/restoring cars become a thing of the past?

TFL (The Fast Lane on Youtube) mentioned that the majority of vehicles are engineered to make it to 150k before any major malfunctions. Obviously, a few outliers on either side, and some that are engineered higher. I found that interesting, if I guessed I would have figured 100k.
  7. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

Had this issue yesterday but I was installing exterior LEDS and had my doors open quite a bit. Second time it has happened, I still need to get ALL of the recall crap done and my headliner replaced. Probably need to stop by the dealer to arrange it, if it can happen while I am out of town that...
  8. Cheap DIY Daytime Running Lights $14.00 Pretty Impressive for The Price

Ok so I threw the "cheap" out the window but went ahead and upgraded. After seeing comments on here suggesting repositioning for better visibility, I went to adjust and half of my previously installed strip died. After seeing the dynamic linked above, and the fantastic customer service by the...
  9. Cheap DIY Daytime Running Lights $14.00 Pretty Impressive for The Price

4 pin you can wire to your LED strips. I got a $2 pigtail, will solder and heat shrink to the 4 pin. Only using 3 pins, both turn signals and ground. Here’s a ok photo from testing today showing the leds connected.
  10. Cheap DIY Daytime Running Lights $14.00 Pretty Impressive for The Price

that’s it. This plugs to the turn signals in the front, not the rear. I considered wiring to the back, but the. The sequential would be backwards on the running board lights, or I would have had to route the wires really far. Photo of one side plugged in. I’ll make a post when it’s all done.
  11. Cheap DIY Daytime Running Lights $14.00 Pretty Impressive for The Price

I went ahead and ordered one, arriving tomorrow. The harness for tapping the turn signals arrived today and will work perfectly, so I plan to use both the running board LEDS and the hood LEDS off the same harness for turn signals.
  12. Cheap DIY Daytime Running Lights $14.00 Pretty Impressive for The Price

Well looks like I may try these. I went to adjust mine today and half the strip died, I messaged the seller to see options. I also have 2 running board strips to install I am planning out, I just am trying to avoid tapping any wires. Finding a turn signal harness splitter is not as easy as the...
  13. I think they did this on purpose.šŸ˜Ž

if there were 3 more black full sized trucks, that would be looking like the adult film meme šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  14. Planet Ford I-45 Spring, Texas

Sadly Ford is zero help on this. What will ultimately happen is they show to Ford they sold to the COVP verified buyer and they will get a check for the price difference from when you ordered to when it was delivered. I think most sales managers know this and just see the easy profit margin...
  15. Drivers side A pillar not seated correctly to body

Yes, and there is a TSB for it. Requires the headliner to be replaced. I believe it has to do with the post recall airbags. They’re slightly larger so some trucks are going to be affected before they caught it. I look at it every day, and it bothers me, but I don’t necessarily trust the...
  16. Thoughts on XL vs XLT?

I had an XL Eco I traded on my Lariat Hybrid. If my Hybrid never arrived, I would of been happy with the XL. Had AWD, 4k tow and CP 360. I did the cruise control myself with Forscan and the switches. I ordered a Lariat with the intentions of keeping it close to the extended warranty length 8...
  17. Plastic in your vehicle.

Ford actually uses recycled ocean plastics. Wish they could fish out more of the scratch resistant plastics for the Maverick :ROFLMAO: . Not sure what the percentage is in the Maverick, but I feel like it was discussed when it was announced.
  18. Headliner Check

My theory is these are all ones that got built on the line with the recalled airbags, and they got swapped at some point, and the new ones don't fit quite the same. ( a lot of that can be kinda taken from the TSB). It is hard to notice, I missed it for a few weeks after I got the truck.
  19. Headliner Check

Yeah I have this issue, and have not taken to the dealer. May get the 3m mentioned in the TSB. I drive so little, my interior is immaculate and I don’t know if I can trust the dealer to not screw it up.
