Starting with the 2025 XL models, it is a different and harder upgrade.

If the camera had been dead or intermittent, I would have suspected the connector under the truck near the spare tire. Maybe you did get a bad solenoid on the power lock. You might also want to use a small mirror and a light to look at all the connectors inside the tailgate.
