My last recall screwed up my radio and my cell phones ability to make calls from my contacts list. When I go in for the current recall I will make note of the issues. I like going to the dealer as much as I like a dental visit.

I have an April 22 Lariat Hybrid. My answer would be NO. I like the temp readout on each knob. I use the outside keypad daily and my pickup has had only 1 issue and that was resolved. It was the grabby brake issue. Only thing that might tempt me would be a get-the-salesman fired deal.

Had one years ago. Never had a use for it, and it died after 4 years in the trunk, Now that I have a Maverick Hybrid I still don't need or want one.

Engine failure near a small town with poor to no cell service on a Sunday and Ford was able to retrieve the Maverick and drop it at a dealer within 4 hours. Pretty impressive! I have waited over 1.5 hours for a flat tire repair in a major city!

It can also be the battery charge sensor on the negative battery cable next to the battery. Had that failure on a different Ford.

I learned today that there is a "new" type of battery used in many new vehicles. It is an Enhanced Flooded Cell battery that is using a polymer in its construction. The kicker is that its "full charge" spec it 12.4 Volts. Unfortunately I don't know how to tell the difference between that...

Great video. It helped me to understand how charge a late model car battery and why. A little tip if you drive short trips. Turn off your DRL (daytime running Lights) It will increase your charging rate on the battery and lower the draw.

If it has the receiver for a hitch, was it hit and does it look like it moved? If it looks like its not quite right then ther can be hidden damage

With this recall everything is done by computer I know of two Hybrids (mine included} that would go to sleep after sitting for a few hours. Mine went back to the dealer to correct the battery charge level reading or something like that.

Its a good thing he didn't hit the step on your tow hitch. Hitting that would just about guaranteed a total.

When my 22 Hybrid starting doing this after the reprogramming recall, the dealer reset the battery charging parameters to above 90% . For some reason the charge point was around 45%

LEMON LAW. You want it replaced if you can't get a timely repair.

Dealer should be under warrantee
