I donāt see the reason for having to redesign the engine cradle?.. the 2.3 and 2.0 casting are nearly identical. Main differences are pretty much internal with balance shafts and weaker cylinders.. the 2.3 guys are slapping 2.0 blocks left and right now.

So hereās a blow out of the rear door panel.. anyone thought about adding a speaker to that section there? Specifically geared towards those amplifying their fronts.. $250ish door panel.

Go for the escape engine covers, they say ecoboost on them lol. but yeah physically theyre near identical. Same measurements for ALOT. Ill post specs once i get home from work.
Cylinder bore and crank stroke is 100% the same between both gen EB engines.. But with the forged steel crank and powder forged steel rods, i wonder what the limited factor of the aluminum pistons is.. also curious to know how different things like cams are between the two. i tried to cross...
All it takes is someone with a (metal) 3D printer to scan it into the system and let her eat! I wish i wouldve jumped on the 3D printer wave before demand went down in my area and they became a bit harder to come across.
Otherwise youāll probably have to delete/disable the electrical wastegate and go traditional. Probably get a tune developed for that setup with the Ford Focus RS setup as a basis to build off of.
If they mount up the same, you can probably get away with getting the manifold elbow and use an aftermarket turbo.. Iāll be R&D all that once mine arrives.

I think with the minimal differences with oct switching, its hard to really notice well because A) its minimal and B) the way the PCM handles the power transition through the transmission. which apparently is a downfall on the 8sp

More so seeing how the wiring is actually ran from the steering wheel to the PCM. Like if I can just replace the harness or run a wire or two to a pin out on the PCM. But Iāll look into all that tomorrow. If the pinouts are similar were in business.
