No problem and I'm not endorsing one over the other. If you do with the maxina ones, use the link in this thread from @dlhort1955 because I believe they made some with the gap as well. Even the Ford oem mud flaps have this gap which is strange!
Cool, good solution as well. I have no complaints about the mabett mud flaps but the gap got to the best of my ocd. They way I look at it, my add on is just another customization unique to my Maverick.
Agreed... shoulda, coulda, woulda! For those that didn't buy the maxzima mud flaps and don't want to spend money on new ones, I found this at Walmart. You can cut them with a good pair of scissors, they're diamond plated, and the same color and flexible material as most mud flaps...
I did the same! If a dealership is forcing something on you that you don’t need or want, you shouldn't give them your business. An extended warranty isn't mandatory but if it's something you're interested in, that price too is negotiable.
I hit 999.9 mpg when my truck basically rolled on electric mode 100 yards on my property when I moved it to wash her. Sorry no pictures but I'll be ready with my camera on her next wash!
Hey Mike! I have both Mabett products on my truck and I'm very pleased. You'll want to do the fender flare install first and then the mudflaps. They provide longer plastic pins to replace the ones you'll remove.
I personally love the look of these fender flares and installed them on my truck. I highly recommend them, no issues and $400ish less then fords flares. I've since added the mabett mud flaps and they complement the fender flares nicely.
I like using sport mode at a red light when I have one of those monster trucks next to me reving their engine. When the light turns green, I see them in my rear-view before I hit 40 and hear them still making all kinds of noise. No smoking tires here yet.
It's crazy how high the used Maverick’s are selling for. I initially began my search in the used market too but then decided new was the way to go, virtually the same prices. Good call and I wish you many happy and safe miles with your new Maverick. Welcome to the club!
@raleighvol I had no luck getting the protection package removed. When I requested a quote online without it, they stopped all communication. I found my truck at Wynn Odom Ford in Lagrange and I was very satisfied. No playing games with add ons or the otd price.
