Yeah my only problem with thingiverse is someone is going to take them and start selling them on Etsy or eBay. I think someone posted an SVG on reddit.
I plan to put 19" BFG Trail terrains on mine when the stock tires go out but yeah they'd look better with meaty 15s or 17s. I really wanted the XLT trim but it didn't have all the features i wanted and financially didn't make sense to go with a custom order XLT vs the on lot Lariat i got haha...
They also sell them at autoparts stores - just make sure to get the ones that are superstrength or heavy duty and not the ones that are permanent - unless you want that...
I haven't received mine yet but I'd assume the red 3M tape like they use for the Mabett fenders and hood deflectors should be sufficient
I ordered the ones that are $5 plus $4 shipping from AliX haha. I think if they don't work I'm going to take the plunge and get the black reflective vinyl ones.
While I wait for my letters to arrive from AliX, I tried to convert the online image into a printable STL. It worked pretty ok - some refinement needed but I couldn't find any thing available online. I don't have any red 3M tape laying around so I had to use some generic doubleside tape that...
I like it, looks great with the white. I suppose they're are more for you opening the door into a pole or something rather than preventing door dings. How much were they?
I think the EGR ones have the split but you'll have to take these off if you take off your bumper- so if you plan on installing fogs maybe do that first lol.
If you're talking about the 360 view then that's only on the Lariat and higher trims.

Lariat trims are a hard sell but coming from a a different brand the Lariat was the only car that has standard features I came to expect.
Yeah I bought a lariat Ecoboost for about 3k more than an XLT would have been but what pushed me over the edge was that the likely depreciation of my...
Haha I mean other than fire roads and forest trails mine isn't going to see extreme environments living in Texas. Maybe all the benzene in the air will melt the plastic trim.
@Phimosis yeah I like the looks of the truck it just has a lot of rounded corners and the profile looks like a little...
Yeah I make no implications that the flares are for anything other than looks. I just like the contrast and think the truck needs a little bit more of an aggressive look. I'd use the same wet finger approach for home improvement. I think the videos I link with ppf is pretty simple that I might...
Yeah I was wondering if you could do a silicone bead around the outer edge to mitigate any intrusion and I saw the news Maxzina ones had a full lip on the inside well- my assumption is the full lip would prevent more intrusion but could theoretically trap more if you were wading through puddles...
I mean I don't have any but I agree that they would prevent rock chips but I can see how they could accumulate water and dirt on the inside sections of the wheel well since it's only plastic clips and 3m tape
I'm on the fence, everyone says they'll trap water and dirt - cause rust and ruin paint - but the truck looks so toyish without them lol. Are the OEM, Mabett, Maxzina, EGR?
I'm only worried about it prevented connected services - straight up even know how to access the AM/FM radio on my Maverick. If they had angled it further back or just kept it in the shark fin is be fine with it.
