Adding that I just got mine. Incredibly comparable to the multiple sets of WeatherTech mats I've owned over the years. These feel a bit more bendable (for the front set, the rear mat is similar in pliability) and they have some sharper edges than the WT mats but nothing noticeable once they're...
Pretty standard. As far as I’m aware, this is just the sound of relays opening / closing in anticipation of the truck being turned on (or the opposite when you just turned it off).
An alternative I did (since I rarely need to use these tiedowns but I like having the assist) is just screw the bolts back in and store the original tiedown with a T30 screwdriver in my truck.
Then if I ever find myself needing it, I can just reinstall the factory tiedown, secure the load, and...
I ordered a set and can compare them side by side with my other vehicle’s WeatherTech mats. Should have them by early next week.
Got tired of waiting for WT and Tuxmat. These seem decent for the price and better than the Ford ones based on impressions here.
If someone else doesn’t, I’ll post...
I had a similar issue in an older vehicle. The camera wiring or something in the camera itself interfered with the camera/sensors on the windshield when powered on. Moving the dashcam over to the right completely resolved the issue.
If trying a different fuse doesn’t work, try moving the camera...
As a less elegant solution, I just put the two bolts back into the tailgate and then keep my tie-down and an extra T30 screwdriver I bought for $8 in the bed cubby. Then when I need the tie-down, I can just reattach it in a minute or so then remove it again when I’m done.
If I was using them...
Wish someone did this before I ripped mine off and snapped a clip clean off the back. But being honest, I probably should have been more gentle on the plastic piece labeled “Built Ford Tough”.
Kidding aside (well besides the clip being broken) very useful info! This was honestly the worst panel...
Not entirely sold (texture does look off to me) but my usual go to, Weathertech, seems completely uninterested in the hybrid mats so I might grab these to at least have something when they do release.
Tired of waiting and I don’t have any mats at all in the rear which I don’t like, especially...
Just got the brake lights installed on my Hybrid Lariat Lux. Can also confirm everything is functioning as expected!
Really looks a lot better. As a note, I had to remove the wire clip like in OP’s video before turning the upper driver’s side bulb out.
Otherwise, the wire is too short to...
I used a variety of plastic trim tools and all of them warped the paint where pressure was applied
I’m following the manual and some prior posts here to correctly apply the pressure but really don’t want to cause any more damage than the minor paint wrinkle I’ve got now.
I get some movement...
Yea, guess that’s what I’ll end up doing. Just wish the “right way” didn’t also mean screwing up the paint. Would be a lot nicer if it actually popped out the way it was designed to.
Anyone have tips for the side markers? I have the bulbs but following the instructions in the manual just led to messing up paint near the marker when trying to pry it out with a trim tool.
Mostly the driver side since the passenger is supposedly easy to access in the wheel well.
Posted this elsewhere but I'd highly recommend these 3D printed female FITS slot adapters for the bedrails on the lux packages. I got 4 of them along with 4 FITS grocery bag hooks and they work great over having to get a cargo net or container!
Have used them a few times so far and haven’t had...
Hey everyone - since this thread helped me a lot, here's a few pictures of mine that I got after 289 days! Hybrid Lariat Lux. I added the BAK X4s, some tailgate letters, a BlackVue 590X Dashcam system (front/rear), some LASFIT bulbs, and a stubby antenna. Also have a handful of 3D printed stuff...
I believe both are ignition controlled per @clavicus
If you’re looking for an always on fuse, #5 or #24 appear to be available based on discussions above in this thread. I haven’t tried either yet.
Hoping someone who used them or tested can say which way the tap needs to be oriented in...
