Second that idea. Used them years ago in my Nissan Cube to haul a Wavewalk kayak. You can position them anywhere around the perimeter of the hood. I use 1/4 inch polyester rope and trucker's hitch now instead of straps and ratchets.

Thank you. I swear it's the missing vinyl stickers on the door pillars. Without those, it looks much better. That and I used Chemical Guys Synthetic Quick Detailer. It's amazing.

Looks similar to my 24 Lariat. I did immediately peel those gray vinyl covers off of the door pillars. I think it's a much cleaner look.
