Yes, I use it as a split use vehicle, I’m a guitar technician, I have a business called Mobile Guitars @mobileguitars on IG. Lots of les pauls! Own a few, fix many…. Cheers!
I’m just over 10k miles and 1 year of ownership and I’m still very happy with my late 2023 FX4 XLT ECOboost. Other than the infotainment/carplay not always working smoothly, and the random collision alerts lol, everything else has been great. From hauling guitars for my biz to my kids, bikes and...
Update on this - I moved the fork mounts to the rear away from the bulk head so I have the option of dropping them into the bed, or on top. And I grabbed some ratchet straps for the cleats, and they are solid… I think this form of mounting is probably better for the unibody Mav than a truck box...
Thank you, I agree that ratchet straps to the seat tube area is the way to go. Today I drove top speed 35 with 2 of them bungee’d tight with no issues, but I’d rather not have elastic involved. The actual tonneau bounces a little bit as well, so the straps are in order. The convenience was...
Gonna give this a try - 2 fork mounts in the T rails and just tie down the wheels with cleats. I’ll need more tension than the bungees pictured, but I think this is the quickest and easiest solution for me to NOT have rails and racks, and be able to rack the bikes in bad weather to keep gear...
My guy, scroll this feed. Everything you need to know is in this thread. Lay a blanket down, lay down, reach into your bumper and yank it out. Likely your cable housing is bad, and have to solder in a new terminal, the actual sensors are tough pieces of plastic, but either way, 15 min of work...
Pro gtr tech here - I would use black colored “gluboost”. Gravity will be against you, so use a toothpick or a whisp and apply slowly. Tape off around it but not too close, just incase you glue the tape to the wheel. If you don’t get it flush, you can use a razor blade to cut back the amount of...
Hey everyone, so installed the new T track rails for my roll up bak x4s tonneau and bought some tie down cleats. Don’t forget to install the T track ends at the bulk head side BEFORE you mount it. Lol
My goal is to build a throw and go bike rack so I can have 2 maybe 3 bikes on top of my...
Sick! If you’re on here, hit me up! I wiggled that badass little bumper bull on there, it’s practically a feeler gauge lol, but it looks tough! Cheers
I had an Astro Van for 10 years and various vans and wagons before it. The only downside to the van in my opinion are these things -
1. They don’t manufacture vans to be off road capable in the US, and adding a quigley kit is expensive. Even the AWD versions can’t maneuver like a crossover or...
