Washers and metal plates. Thanks for the link.
EDIT: I was actually looking for the directions that came with the bed liner is there are any. Thanks again.
How old am I? Well I remember my first horseless carriage was a...uh, never mind. Anyway, picked up my Area 51, 23 Lariat Hybrid last week and I've already spent the wife's butter and egg money on everything from bed liner to tail gate letters. Love the truck so far.
Does anyone have the Ford instructions for installing their bed liner in the Maverick. Mine came with out any? I've watched the YouTube videos but they aren't detailed enough for me. Some parts are not mentioned.
I had quite a bit of trouble with threads being too tight when i first started. This video helped (accent is a little strong). I also had the same problem with ball studs breaking off. i just made the neck bigger.
That is the easiest solution, but then you have to store it someplace. I like the side steps because they store away, do not rattle around the bed and are right where you need them when you need them..
I had to sand the male threads on the piece with the ball (make them slightly smaller in diameter.). Otherwise, no problems with any other threads. I think the support material has something to do with it. I printed that piece with the thread side down.
I had these steps on my Ranger and they worked very well. Might fit a Maverick, they say universal fit. I might get them for my Mav once the "Too new to drill a hole" wears off. I'm not vertically challenged, I'm just old...
I added the ford logo. Scratched the piece up pretty good removing it from the plate. I'm going to make it a little thicker, the logo is pretty fragile.
I purchased the roll up Maverick bed cover based on suggestions here. I didn't know members could get a discount. Any way I might get a retroactive discount? Thanks.
