Unfortunately its telling that the long time owners in this thread that are defending the Mav are not doing so by saying they feel like it has good build quality, they are doing so by saying "you get what you pay for." Unfortunately that speaks volumes because if current owners disagreed with...
I wanted the price to be reflected in the lack of creature comforts, not the lack of quality. I wouldn't care if this truck had roll up windows, manual door locks and a manual transmission and still cost 22k, I would be ok with that, but I do expect decent build quality on ANY new vehicle at ANY...
As someone who has a 23' on order that starts production Dec 19, this is a bit concerning. I did order the base XL hybrid with only a trailer hitch and power inverter add on. I am not expecting a $40k truck, but now I am wondering if I should expect a $22k truck.
I ordered the springs as soon as I saw they were available this morning, then I just read your posts. I called EIBACH and told them I ordered this morning but it looks like you are having a sale on Monday. I asked if they could go ahead and give me that sale or if I could cancel my order and try...
Thank you for answering this question. Would be cool if there was a calculator somewhere where you could plug in a wheel diameter and weight, tire size and weight see how much energy is required to move a particular combo.
I am sure one of you physics majors can answer this:
When it comes to rotational mass and energy used to spin a wheel/tire combo, does it matter if greater weight is on the inside or outside of the wheel?
For example, all things being equal (Circumference, width, offset etc) is there a...
Looking at moving from Stock Steelie 17's to aftermarket 18's and trying to keep factory circumference similar. I notice guys going 225/60/18 or 235/60/18. While the 225/60/18 is the closest to the factory 225/65/17, I also want to run a 8.5 inch wheel and wouldn't mind 235's for some extra...
Gonna guess thats with air in it. I think the stock tire is supposed to 24 lbs and we know the wheel is 27.2 lbs. And I would think the XLT alloy would be lighter than the steel wheel. I am being particular because I am currently researching a new wheel tire combo for an incoming XL hybrid and I...
I could be wrong but I feel like that 60ft could be improved significantly. Waaaaay back in the day I was able to get 2.10's from a nitroused Focus on factory tires. (186whp/228wtq) I would think 1.75's on an AWD ecoboost is doable under your setup.
Ive only seen where it says spoiler. Was curious if it was the Ford factory one because if you look at every other image of the factory spoiler you can find online, none of them look that long. It looks almost twice as long as any other photo I can find.
I think this is awesome. I am sure you will get 12's eventually. BTW, I asked this in another thread but I think it was a repost...is your tailgate spoiler the factory one? It looks longer in the pics.
I dont want to be a copy cat, but dang. I really like this truck. Right stance, tailgate spoiler and I think 18" wheels is all you need on this truck to be honest. I am wanting to move from the steelies to 18"s without gaining any weight on the wheel/tire combo since I have the hybrid and...
Yes, understood. I still think the drop in rotational mass from the sparco's would more than offset that extra rolling resistance. I would think if anything you would pick up MPG with a factory sized tire.
