Hello :) I did the cruise control to my bare-bones XL ecoboost .... works great! however...
While installing the buttons; I did not disconnect the battery first - kinda screwed myself by not doing so. Now the computer knows that I disconnected my airbag, and my airbag light won't turn off...
I took mine to a local place that does oil-spray. The brand they use is clear and is called Rust Cure Formula 3000. Apparently it seeps into cracks and crevasses, displaces moisture, (somehow) is polarized to stick to the metal better?
And since the truck is less than 3 years old, comes with...
So, after talking with Silver's on the phone, I re-did the rear springs. They feel a lot better now, but this is still about the max ride height of the "superlow" kit. I like it, and will be lowering it more when I put the new wheels on.
TY 😅 I feel silly when I ask dumb questions... then I went and looked again and found the screws in question... turn these babies righty-tighty to angle the beam down
Greetings :) one of the first things I did was disable the auto high-beams. I haven't gotten flashed until just now after installing my lowering kit. I believe it's because the rear is slightly lower than the front, thus pointing my headlights slightly upward?
Does anyone have a "how to" on...
Your rear coils look larger and/or closer to OEM than mine. Mine resemble the coils they put on the front coilover assembly; not sure if that's because I got the "superlow" option or not
EDIT: yes, there are different rear springs for the regular and superlow kits
Okie, so I changed the stiffness on all four corners to medium-soft and drove to Dunkin' ... decided not to go full-on softie yet. Full-soft minus 6 clicks (because 12 is middle).
Slightly improved ride, still noticeably stiffer than stock though. Will try full soft next and report back.
Hello :) I had seen an ambient lighting thread the other day that I can't seem to find anymore; but in an effort to not make a new thread, I will comment here :)
I decided to tap into the one lonely ambient light the XL has. This whole panel pulls straight backwards towards the cup holders (no...
Here is the image I posted in my photo thread; the Silvers kit with the "superlow" option. The install was really easy; even if you have never tinkered with suspension before, they have a YouTube video to walk you through.
Being the "superlow" version of their kit, this was about as high as I...
I saw that, and something on the F150 forum, and also I think the Bronco forum? It's been a Google-palooza ... anyway, FORScan - The XL model doesn't have an APIM module. I guess it's because there's no SYNC feature.
I did see something that said, on the radio controls, press and hold the...
This. It's not like I'm trying to "stare at my radio dial" but I would like to be able to pick out a particular song from my USB stick.... and yeah, when I have passengers on a road trip they're gonna be MIFFED about that particular 'safety feature'.
Also, when my phone is connected and I get a...
My deciding factor between the Maverick and the Santa Cruz was... you can't find a lowering kit for the Santa Cruz 😂😂 My MSRP (because my Mav has no options) was $23k USD.
The only thing I'm miffed about so far, is that the stealership tagged on a $10k "market upcharge" and then advertised...
Solid call... I took your advice. Found a discount code on Google that gave $10 off and no tax, so for $89 it's on the way! Pretty jazzed, ty for the suggestion!
Hopefully it's not against the rules :D I think I have some pics. The bed was something I just kinda pieced together with sheetmetal in the shape of a T. it has bracing underneath and has hauled stone, brush, 50cc dirtbikes, etc... here's a pic with the All-terrains and suspension at max flex...
So far, the other things I've done are just basic... my trademark "imperfekt" vinyl windshield banner and 20% tint all around.
After fooling around with FORScan a bit regarding the Auto Start/Stop, I decided to pitch the $100 at the Autostart eliminator that was recommended. Found a discount...
Very cool thread so far :) looking forward to the updates! Love those old school minis you posted; I'm not huge into sound systems anymore, but was thinking of going with the Alpine PWE-S8. It's internally amplified and has a built in crossover; it can also just tap into the rear speakers so...
