This happens occasionally. If you hold the power button and fast forward for a couple seconds it will reset the screen. It will start functioning as normal after that. This also fixes frozen screens.
I would throw something if they came out with a manual. I got into the Maverick dead pool because my Fiesta ST was slowly rolled over a wall so my wife could pet a dog. Miss it every day lol
Just picked up my Shadow Black Mav. Washed it, shined her up with Maguires liquid ceramic wax and she's sat in the driveway for a week. Truck is COVERED in dust and smudges. Never owned a black vehicle before and never will again.
This actually makes a ton of sense. With the new MPG regulations, companies will need something to serious outliers to drag down their average. A 42 MPG offsets a 18 MPG when they're 1:1. If the regulation was based on total production it would be way more difficult but that would be difficult...
Dealer called me today to confirm that my order went through. Last thing he said was "I just want to be as clear as possible, this truck will likely not be built."
Interesting article from Detroit Free Press. Sadly, this will likely mean the end of under MSRP prices. Shady dealer tactics leads to a win for the corporations.
Personally, I feel conflicted. Buying without driving the vehicle I will actually receive is not something I'm excited about...
You got a truck yet? Before Ford moved away from the previous distribution model I would have agreed but now that they're prioritizing early orders pending constraints, you're wrong. Unless you want to pay a premium for convenience.
I think you're missing a huge issue in all of this. Ford drug...
I should have been specific. It's a delivery holding lot from what I can tell. Delivery trucks and a bunch of vehicles on the lot. I've seen 2 or 3 Mav's priced at $40-45k there.
People are paying their bills with buy now pay later and payment plans on $100 items. Prime day just put tens of thousands in debt for the next 2 years.
I think this is great stuff but I read a few threads in here that there were dealers trying to throw ADM's on after orders had been placed. It's hard to see what's happening behind the scenes but it seems like Ford isn't really doing anything about the markups.
Not exactly an answer to your question.
I've been thinking about whether it would be worth it to create some sort of template for folks to bring to the dealer for their 2023 orders for the dealer to sign stating the price is final with no future dealer markups guaranteed. If the dealer won't...
Totally agree about CP360.
I remember reading somewhere that the EB takes 3 and hybrids take 5. They're of course different specs but something about the hybrid seems to be a very big issue.
I'm not sure why anyone thinks anything will be protected, interest rate or price.
Ford has likely been producing the Maverick at close to a loss for the last few months at a minimum. The cost of everything is up 10% and with such a low margin vehicle, there's no way they had room for that...
Price protection wasn't even really implied in the email that went out. More like, "you're going to pay less than a 23', we promise that." Ford isn't going to sell for a loss (again) so I wouldn't hold my breath at all on price protection. Even Tim Bartz said you can change stuff up on your 23'...
I don't see an AWD hybrid being available. I'd be surprised if they didn't do what other brands have done and drop some features that most would consider standard on modern vehicles to save themselves on chips. I think GM did this with heated seats or something like that. If they cut those they...
XLT, LUX, rear sliding and mats. I'm guessing I'm getting held up with the bed liner. Because of the way the dealership works, they aren't getting more than MSRP no matter what so for them it doesn't really matter. It also eliminates the direct connection to Ford so updates are pretty minimal...
