Update - loose ground wire! A loose ground connection to the PCM was causing the battery to not charge properly and was causing my power train control module issues. Easy fix, thankfully and quick. Thx Beiner Ford!
Updateā¦.not fixed! Just turned it over in the morning and it clicked a few times before engaging. Hey Ford, what could be going on here? Will be bringing it to my dealer in the AMā¦.bummed. The issues are starting to outweigh the fun and reliability which is why I got this truck in the first placeā¦.
Update- Ford sent a mobile service tech to my house, he swapped my battery and we did the power control module update and Iām back in business. Thank you Beiner Ford. To be clear, after we put the new battery in, it was still turning over strangely, so something about the power control module...
So Iāve been having intermittent battery light and today my Maverick stalled out and then died a little while later. Wonāt start, seemingly completely dead battery. Taking to Ford tomorrow, my question, when I tried to start it one last time I got a check engine light for a power train module...
So I bought this kit, ripped it out, very easy from front of the bumper, spliced in new connector and sensor, and it took about 30 min to reset itself. Completely fine now, AC is great, no check engine light. Thank you so much, saved me $1500 at Ford!
I have an FX4 XLT 2.0 and I average 16 on city streets, 22 on the highway for a bit when itās rolling. If Iām heavy footed, my gas mileage might be worse. Love the truck regardless, itās a nice incentive for me to ride my bike to work moreā¦

Ok so my AC was intermittent and it has been determined by my dealer that my ambient exterior temperature sensor may be bad and the pig tail cable housing needs changed. Code P0073 Beiner Ford wanted $1350 plus tax to change the housing and sensor lol Here are my questions -

Looks like front end collision will cheaper easier fix with that upper bumper grill not being connected to the other panels. Probably easier for assembly. Not into all the paint, wheels are eh, have to see it in other colors, but right now itās a no from me dawg
