  1. Window Deflectors opinions?

My experience with in-channel deflectors has been mixed, especially with vehicles with one-touch auto up windows, like the Maverick. I've found they can cause the window anti-pinch strategy to keep the windows from going up completely. Not every time, but often enough to recommend against them.
  2. Issue: exterior temperature stopped displaying and CEL light on

I agree with the other posters, this seems like a dealership issue. You don't want to start messing around with anything that could make a dealer not want to cover a repair under warranty. That being said, that Ambient Air Temp sensor is behind the lower half of the grille, just off to the...
  3. Automatic license plate cover

Better idea, just leave the tailgate down while filming. I'm sure that'd block the plate from most camera angles, it'd be obvious enough to catch your attention when you drive off, and even if you forgot, the plate would never be truly, illegally blocked.
  4. Automatic license plate cover

The plate lights are only on with the head/parklights. You'd probably be better off using the bed power as a trigger. It's tied to the same "Battery Saver" strategy as the 12v power outlets, so it stays live for about 10-15 min after the truck is shut off, then it's powered down. It'd be...
  5. Fog light kit for Maverick?

This is why dealership internet sales departments get a bad reputation. Poor product knowledge. The three lights referred to are the low and high beam reflectors in the bottom half of the Maverick lenses. The four outer reflectors are for the low beam and the two inners are for the high beams...
  6. Automatic license plate cover

Amazon has a few different variations of this, none of them automatic, but it seems better than blocking the plate manually. Also, double check your states laws before using one of these. I'm sure that, even if it's not outright illegal, is probably looked down on by law enforcement. Dolity...
  7. Hybrid Heater Performance?

The Mav Hyb has an electric booster heater that comes on when the engine coolant and ambient temps are below a certain level. That booster heater won't turn on if the HVAC is turned off. It won't help the eng heat up any faster, but you'll start getting warm air out of the vents almost...
  8. Hybrid 2.5L Engine Oil Drain Plug Washer/Gasket Type and Part #?

As others said, the Oil Filter is an FL910s, but the drain plug has a reusable silicone gasket. As long as the drain plug doesn't get damaged by overtightening, the drain plug should last nearly the life of the truck. In the 10 years since Ford introduced this drain plug to replace the previous...
  9. What is this little black box for?

Base audio has the speakers hard-wired into the radio unit in the dashboard. The black box is the Trailer tow module.
  10. How do you like the rear seat speakers (placement)?

I have a Flex with speakers in the D-Pillars, facing the 3rd row passnegers and I've had no complaints. It's different from what we're used to in a pickup, but it's really no different than the speakers placed in the package shelf of sedans, back in the day.
  11. how to remove telemetric control module

It's under the center of the instrument panel, forward of the console. You have to remove both center console forward side trim panels to get access to it. You can disconnect it from just the pass side, though, if you're ok leaving the physical module installed, just disconnected.
  12. What is this little black box for?

The factory amp is behind the pass seat, on the right hand side of that photo, above the subwoofer. It has a finned, aluminum housing for heat dissipation.
  13. What is this little black box for?

The TCU (FordPass) is under the center console and has 2 separate Coax cables and a 16 pin (only 4 used) main connector running to it.
  14. What is this little black box for?

That's the trailer tow light/brake module. It has a constant 40a power to it, but no audio signals. To be honest, looking at your pic, you already have a factory amp and subwoofer on the passenger side you could tap into.
