I hear what your saying but I worked in the auto world for 40 years and most of them as a Ford vendor. In Ford speak this statement says look for something within 6 months or so. The last info I have shows 2023 production through 3-31-23. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
When they mention that information for 2024 will be out at a later date means to me that 2023 is going to be a short run. My guess is April 2023 for start of '24MY production.
You are correct, all Transit Connects will continue to be built in Valencia, Spain until early 2024 at which time the plant is being converted for production of electric vehicles. 2023MY is the final year for all Transit Connects to be sold in North America.
Where did you hear this about Ford building a new facility in Mexico? I can't find anything about this and nothing shows up on my list of Ford facilities now or in the future. Not saying it isn't true but where did you read about this?
Yes the FWD Hybrid and only the Hybrid can be flat towed behind a motorhome with the stipulations in that link you attached. The 2023 RV Trailer Towing Guide hasn't been released yet but I would assume there aren't any changes to the 2023 vs. 2022.
My theory is that the 2023 model year is going to be a short run. I bet the 2024 MY starts sometime in April 2023. I think they figure that they have enough orders in the bank to run out production till then along with some stock orders for dealers. Just my 2 cents.
When you ordered the XLT you automatically get interior code (7B) which is the Navy Pier/Medium Slate according to the order guide. Attached is a photo showing the interior.
This is just a laundry list of all available options without any restrictions mentioned for instance. You can't get the 4K tow package on a hybrid as you need to have AWD which the hybrid doesn't come in. You need the order guide to explain all the restrictions and availability per model.
Maybe there will be some clarity next week sometime as Ford Division is having their yearly dealer meeting in Las Vegas starting Monday. This is where they discuss dealer issues and usually show off future product plans. Stay tuned.
