I'm glad yours works well, mine did not. And by judging from some of the responses in this thread and many others, I'm not alone.

The turbo? That's laughable...you need to find another dealer (if possible). I'm betting it's the shitty auto transmission that comes with the EB, as noted above.

I averaged 25 mpg with about 95% city driving...I thought that was pretty respectable.

If I could do it all over again I’d get the lowest spec XL hybrid I could find.

I'm using a CTEK MXS 5.0 on a '09 Boxster with an AGM battery...works great. I've got it plugged into the cigarette lighter (remember those?).

With regard to the engine, I probably had unreasonable expectations. I thought it would be a larger version of the 1.6 EB I had in my 2015 and 2019 Fiesta ST’s. It ain’t, not even close. The transmission is pretty much a turd.

As a former EB owner I would get the hybrid. The turbo engine and 8- speed transmission isn't a very good combo IMO.
