I ordered an Iconic Silver XLT with 2.0 ecoboost with the 4k tow package, because I want to have the extra towing capability, which is not available in the hybrid. I do not, however, anticipate many situations where 4WD will be needed, so I feel I can go without it, and save a few buckaroos.
Is it me or does the 400lb max tongue weight seem low for a 4klb max tow capacity?
I believe tongue weight of a trailer is usually about 15% of total weight.
One of the reasons I chose the 2.0 ecobost engine is to add the 4k lb tow package.
I am new to towing and would like to know if you guys think I'll be able to tow your average 3,000 lb camper trailer.
As of now, I'm a little bit overwhelmed with all the extra considerations that go into...
Hello, does anyone know if I can make changes to my order even though we are past the July 15th cutoff for dealers to submit orders?
Also, would this affect my place in line?
Thanks
Hello, I'd like to know when you guys think we'll be able to sit inside a Maverick at a dealer as to get a feel of the actual dimensions and appearance up close.

I'm in a very similar situation. I'm 35 and have been a homeowner for a few years now. and never had a pickup before. Would add that I have 2 kids and needed a vehicle that would accomodate forward and backward facing child seats. I can also think of many situations where a pickup would have...

I was happy to learn today that FordPass is standard on all trims for the Maverick. I am especially thrilled to learn that through this app one is able to start the vehicle remotely.
This remote starte feature is particularly helpful in extremely hot or cold weather. Temperatures in south...
I had understood that they could not mark up vehicles that were ordered during the pre-production period, aside from the regular "dealer fee". At least that's what they told me at the dealer. If a buyer backs away from a vehicle ordered, then that's a different story and the dealer can mark it...
I was looking for the same on my Maverick order. Contacted the dealer and they advised that I had to wait until the scheduling takes place around August.
