Do it. I originally wanted a hybrid but ordered an Ecoboost XL due to the parts shortage. I got an email yesterday that my 22 XL was was finally scheduled for production last minute. I also placed another order today for a 23 Hybrid XL. I plan to sell the 22 when the hybrid arrives.

My Area 51 22 XL Ecoboost with Granger Ford placed 1/27/22 just got scheduled for production week of 9/26. Placed an order today for Area 51 23 XL Hybrid at my local dealer in SC.

Yup! Placed an order last night through dealer website. They called me this morning. Got email confirmation from Ford 30 minutes later!

My official order date was January 27th. I just got an email from Ford that it is scheduled for production on September 26th

I just got an email a few minutes ago: "We are excited to let you know your 2022 Maverick XL has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of September 26, 2022.' That's a lot faster than I thought!

I had to keep retrying 10 times to get my status.

Granger provided me with the VIN. There is no build date yet in Ford tracker.

I placed an order with Granger on 1/19/2022 for a stock XL 2.0. I received an email confirmation from Ford on 1/27/2022. I spoke with Ford chat on 9/1. She said I show your order status as In Order Processing/Unscheduled- Clean.

So for those of us without a vin for MY22 who ordered with Granger what are the next steps?

Unfortunately they do not drop ship so I would need to fly there or arrange shipping.

I'm in Fort Mill SC. I ordered through Granger Ford in January because of they offered $3000 off msrp and only $100 deposit. I do not have a build date so it is not looking good.
