If that was my truck, I'd disconnect the 12v battery, wait a couple minutes for things to discharge, then reconnect the battery. All new cars are technology which happens to be in a vehicle.
I used to work on Porsches in the 80's when CIS injection was common. We'd pull injectors at first hint of a lean miss, put them on a simple pressure pump and run techron through them until they sprayed with full atomization with no streams of liquid. We tried almost every product on the...
Before you venture too far, are you aware that you have to run wiring from the fuse panel to the door as there's no existing puddle light or other power circuit in the door that can be used?
I have a 25 XLT with the 225/55-19 tires the same Goodyears as the Lariat. I was concerned about ride quality as my wife has an Escape which has the same size tires and has always ridden a little harsh. Happy to report that the Maverick rides very nicely compared compared to the Escape. I...
Scanners are typically attached for diagnostic purposes, readings taken and then removed. I don't think anyone's concerned about the onboard modem possibly being disrupted for the couple of minutes that it's being scanned in their driveway or at a shop or dealership.
A scanner doesn’t interfere with anything, it simply reads the stored codes the same as a dealership scanning the car. It tracks way more than a check engine light.
I passed high school physics.
I'm just saying that if I had a 10,000+ pound tow capacity full frame vehicle with larger brakes, more torque, a much stronger transmission, beefier rear end, wider stance and higher load capacity tires, I'd gladly take the gas mileage hit vs driving my current...
I didn't say it wouldn't tow, but I'd be pulling anything with an F150 if it was sitting next to my maverick. The towing part isn't the concern, however towing while performing an emergency maneuver is THE concern! A quick turn to avoid an object on the road, stopping or accelerating as...
The light knob has to be in automatic headlight mode and you have to cycle through the high beam stalk positions until the A lights up. You have to be driving faster than something like 20 mph and the camera can't see oncoming lights or bright reflections.
