I'm a little confused, too. Can't your phone connect to the head unit wirelessly via bluetooth? Or is that a different type of connection than what you get with CarPlay?
I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I get my Maverick, LOL. Mine is being delivered to the dealer as I type. I'm in Northeast Ohio, between Cleveland and Erie, PA and there are so very few around here. Bronco Sports everywhere, but no Mavericks. I hope to enjoy my 15 minutes of fame...
I wouldn't want rear defrost. I've had 3 different Escapes over the years and it has partially stopped working on all 3 of them. The more bells and whistles that you have just means that there is more stuff that will eventually break.
It's a color that really doesn't show it's "true colors" in a photo. You have to see it in person. But this picture does give a good representation of how it will look in sun and shade. I was on the fence between A51 & Cactus Gray before seeing an A51 colored Bronco at the dealer. I made my...
Geneva here. My window sticker showed up last Friday and I rec'd an email late last night that my truck has been built and that it should arrive at the dealer sometime between March 31st and April 6th! I have seen very few Mavericks in my area and am going to enjoy being one of the few for quite...
Have been waiting for an economical daily driver truck like this for years! I commute an average of 80 miles a day for work. A mid-size or full size truck is out of the question because of the crappy gas mileage. Been driving Escapes for the past several years and have really grown to like them...
Yes, I did, right before they stopped taking orders. Mine is supposedly being built this week. I was told up to 6 months, but it looks like it will be more like 3 months. I wanted to wait until early summer to order, but saw the writing on the wall and placed my order. I'm glad that I did...
I never wanted a "mid-size" truck. For what they cost, I might as well buy a full-size truck. Plus the mpg sucks. I had a 1989 Chevy S10, tech 4 engine, 5-speed. Bought it new and drove that thing until it couldn't take the Ohio winters anymore. I was able to get 24mpg out of it back then. I do...
I'm not dissing Ford. They started making new vehicles before the shit show really started. How could they know the "pandemic" was going to get as stupid as it did? A lot of the blame has to be put on the shady dealers that went over there allocations and didn't put the orders in correctly...
I'm glad to hear this. The general consensus is that no extra weight is needed. I can't wait to try mine out. But it'll have to wait until next winter.
Just curious. I haven't taken possession of my Maverick yet, but I'm curious. Even though the truck is technically FWD, does adding a little weight to the bed improve traction i the winter for the AWD model?
Awesome! Thank you for the info. If I'm lucky, I'll take delivery of my truck in April or May. This will be one of the first things that I want to add to my truck.
