I'm a little confused, too. Can't your phone connect to the head unit wirelessly via bluetooth? Or is that a different type of connection than what you get with CarPlay?

I wouldn't want rear defrost. I've had 3 different Escapes over the years and it has partially stopped working on all 3 of them. The more bells and whistles that you have just means that there is more stuff that will eventually break.

Just curious. I haven't taken possession of my Maverick yet, but I'm curious. Even though the truck is technically FWD, does adding a little weight to the bed improve traction i the winter for the AWD model?
