I stopped by today to make introductions in person and get their full take. The issue they seem to have is with Allstate never fully examining a vehicle, or forgetting things. During my freezing cold virtual call with the adjuster we very specifically covered the passenger side of the vehicle...
The local agent has been salt in the wound. I called them a few times thinking "Hey, I've paid them a lot of money over many years so maybe they'll help facilitate some fixes to the process and advocate for me, their loyal client." NOPE. Nothing but "Well, we can't really do much about anything...
I had just dropped my kid off at school and was waiting to turn right at the stop sign. Guy coming down the cross street thought someone was going to pull in front of him and panicked, swerved right into me. Body shop says early March at best. I figured it would be totaled out, shop is working...
Just a heads-up; Allstate has been a waking nightmare during this entire debacle. For some reason my VIN came up in their system as "recreational vehicle". It took 4 days just for them to be able to 'work around' that issue. The result was them patently refusing to send anyone out. I had to...
All I know for certain is that once I disabled the auto brights the problem almost entirely ceased. Every once in awhile someone in an older model vehicle will flash me because these new lights are indeed super bright but it's become pretty rare.
They operate 14 manufacturing plants in North America and employ more than 32,000 people. They support regional suppliers and economies. I'm not claiming that they're an American company, I'm asking if it matters. My Maverick, which I love, was assembled entirely in Mexico.
Interesting. So you don't give any consideration to how much of a foreign company's product is actually domestically produced? So a Maverick built entirely in Mexico at a plant that Ford invested in over the border trumps a Tundra that has 75% of it's materials sourced here in the USA and is the...
My issue here is that I'm not even using them. I can't turn them down when people can see me do it because they're not even on. Not using the auto function either. I think the lights on this thing are just really bright, especially in my dark rural environment.
I'm thinking this is really close to it. Wondering if as the LEDs react to the road surface people think I'M flashing THEM and are responding. It's happened on some pretty smooth, flat roads as well though.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not the auto hi beams. When it first started happening I began the practice of using regular lights whenever I drive. Meaning the last setting past the auto lights (Off, fog, auto, lights on). The hi beam indicator was never on and when I flashed back the hi beams...
