Yes, and yes.
I didn't want to just level the truck and have it get squatty every time I put something in the back. I don't need a big truck, but I do need a truck nonetheless.
So, it's installed correctly, including the 1" spacers. Started looking at other installs to see if they have the same issue, and looks like they do to some degree. It's hard to find straight side shots, but when you do most of the lifts move the rear wheel up.
Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. I didn't want a Tacoma. I wanted a Maverick. There's a lot of guys here with lifted Mavs and I like the look and the extra clearance. Thanks for playing, but you aren't contributing anything to the discussion. Next!
Making room for a bit larger tire and giving a bit more clearance. Thought about just doing a leveling kit, but didn't want it squatting whenever I put anything in the bed.
The kit came with trailing arm spacers, but there might be a limit as to how thick they are.
I went with the 1-1/2" instead of a 2" kit just to keep stuff like this to a minimum.
So I got the Belltech 1-1/2" lift kit, had it installed today, and now someone points out that the rear wheel looks too far forward and I can't unsee it. Looking at other builds with lifts, they don't look like they aren't centered. I haven't had it re-aligned yet. Anyone have any insight?
I'd love to have remote start, but it's a $3,000 option. I did option for it on my Lariat that has a tentative build date of Dec 2023. However, I bought an XLT loaded to the brim, but they don't have remote start as an option.
I have the XLT so I have to have a key. However, I've never been a fan of switchblade keyfobs. I'd rather have a normal(ish) key with the functions built in to the body of it, like below. Does anyone know of any that will work for us?
I'm free the next weekend, the 19-20. Let me know when is good for you. If you are coming down from TN, would meeting in Athens, AL be better for you? Right off of I-65.
Just got my XLT FX4, and throwing a lift kit and a bit larger tires. The Falken Wildpeaks that came on the truck should only have a couple of hundred miles on them when I pull them off. Sharing them here before I list them anywhere else. $500. Anyone interested?
I paid $2K for a loaded to the hilt XLT I found coming into a lot, because I need to do truck stuff and I wasn't seeing any movement on my Lariat order. My original dealer didn't have any markup on my Lariat order, and I had turned down a Lariat Hybrid I found a couple of week earlier at a 3rd...
