So if the engine is under 120°F and the HVB is above 66% SoC, it'll do it? Or is this just a "when conditions are right, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't" thing?
Picked mine up two weeks ago! Have spotted a couple other Mavs parked around town. Three of them around Water street (two with custom plates, if you're on the forum) and one in the Henderson Home Depot parking lot.
I hope you all have lots of fun, don't forget to take a group pic with all the Mavs and post it here for us to see!
I picked up mine two weeks ago, and promptly had to drive it down to Las Vegas. Have been pretty smitten with it. Unfortunately I won't be back in Puget Sound until the spring...
This is such cool info to have, nevermind the "what does it matter" naysayers. Given your extensive experience with SoC data can you extrapolate some estimates for me? Again, for no reason other than "it's fun to know".
1) You say 40% of battery capacity is usable and the MG is capable of 15%...
This is very informative, thank you for all that. Given the BMS monitoring of the 12V and the reserved capacity of the HVB, is it safe to say the inverter could be used indefinitely without damage to either battery?
Thanks to everyone doing all the research! I'm curious how long I can pull 400W from the outlet. I have to admit I'm a bit lost amidst all the technical jargon.
I have a Hybrid, so the 400W inverter pulls from the 12V battery, which in turn pulls from the traction battery, which in turn gets...
For anyone else who finds themselves in my shoes, it happened exactly as @KevCuRaoi suggested. They figured out the Smart Vincent stuff on their end and Ford sent them a check made out to me.
Happy endings, stand up dealer, good news all around.
I just did about 1300 miles to get mine home. I pretty much played the throttle like a sustain pedal on a piano to keep the RPMs changing. Was that good for the engine? Was that bad for the engine? It probably makes no difference.
I have a 75-mile (each way) commute to work, so five days a week plus other daily driving, I could probably get to 100k in two years, but one year, damn. Fortunately I only have that commute half the year. 😅
I'm gonna leave my stupid question for all to see but it looks like that's part of the rear window control, nothing to do with audio. The cables look like they go to each other and the clips look identical, but they're not connected after all. 😂
Sorry I realized the EcoBoost doesn't have a 12v battery under the back bench. I have a Hybrid, so I shouldn't bother with fuse box, correct? An inline fuse right off the battery is acceptable?
I see the 6x9 subwoofer, but what's the thing the other end of the green clip goes to?
Only have noticed it at night, but twice now I've gone to get something from the car, unlock/open the doors, things turn on right? Grabbed what I needed, and then shut and relock doors, lights and displays shut off, except the main infotainment screen, which goes black but the backlight is still...
Hey @colinl great thread, I'd love to hear more on how you did your wiring. You mention swapping fuses-- why? (Sorry if a stupid question.)
Basically just looking for the simplest way to get a little more out of my system, and your method (replace the door speakers, add a small sealed sub)...
@tkistre is correct, my 2023 Lariat sends up the seatbelt screen every time, even when I'm buckled before pushing start. I cannot find a way to disable this.
